  • BC Green Party leader Sonia Furstenau has urged British Columbians to turn away from “divisive and hateful” politics and adopt an “everybody-to-the-table method” instead.
The Cowichan Valley MLA said the province is facing “so many overlapping crises” that it’s necessary to “move beyond this old-style of politics” where representatives “absolutely refuse to work with this person or that person.”
“We have to find ways to work together so that we are serving the people we're supposed to serve - and that is every British Columbian,” she told NowMedia video host Jim Csek.

Lower taxes, shutdown industry and spend much more, on literally everything? Houston, we have a math problem.

This is the problem with some politicians , they create a wish list for every little group but have no plans for the cost of everything. The government is not the answer to everything under the sun. I'm sorry but the indigenous peoples have lived here for several thousand years but didn't do anything for the environment. Indigenous peoples are not a united peoples just like the rest of us. We the People of Canada must work together and not as special interest groups. We actually need a two party system with affiliation with the three levels of government. Having independent groups setting the agenda across the country is not for the betterment of all citizens but only for their own groups. Manufacturing of our own resources is the future of the betterment of all citizens across the country. Immigration must be manageable to ensure that local citizens get first pick to housing and jobs.

Creating tax benefit back to those who paid taxes is spot on. Reduce income tax is very important. The price of gas must never exceed a $1 per liter as well as ensuring that heating fuel is also frozen to a position for low income families. Anyone who earns less than $ 75,000 dollars should receive discounts for the purchase of food , housing and gas and heating fuel. Independent citizens should never have to go beyond their means.
