I'm preparing for upsc 2024 along with geography optional and now I finally got good content n well explained video on TH-cam........ So thankyou dear sir from bottom of heart 😊
sir, actually Davis postulated his concept of 'geographical cycle' popularly known as 'cycle of erosion' in 1899 to present a genetic classification and systematic description of landforms. not in 1889...But i am very happy after listing your smooth and clear explanation..thank you so much
Thank you...Where did you read 1899 btw? I have said it came from his first work i.e. complete cycle of river life published in 1889... His theory was fully developed only by 1904...1889 is when he first talked about erosion in Pennsylvania river system and landforms.
@@TheGeoecologist yes sir, i have read from Savindra singh geomorphology book but in 1899 Davis represent genetic classification and descripition of landforms, there is no description about that article. i am so sorry 🤦♀️🙏🙏 . Thank you
Actually it started in 1889...in 1899 he published second article named The Geographical Cycle which was extension of his previous work only...and finally he presented the work in 1904 when he established the American Association of Geographers....that's the story... I just quoted 1889 in my video as it all began there..hope this clears it all...keep learning..god bless you...do share the videos with others 🌏🌱😊👍
Sir in the Davis graph, in the old stage, the upper level and lower level seem to touch the base level does that mean that they become equal to the sea level and if it happens, that should lead to entering of the sea water to that peneplane as the topography cannot be further eroded. But however that doesn't always seems to happen . Why is it so?
Base level (erosional planform) and Sea levels are two different Concepts.. please don't mix the two...read the concepts once more...you will understand it.
Sir, actually i have a doubt. In this table format, the old and mature stage is little bit confusing. According to me, they are misplaced maybe ( because lateral erosion is more in mature stage rather in old likewise 'river with flood' should be there in mature not in old stage) Please clarify this.
It's mentioned in diagram... there is a separate video on Erosional Surfaces that's why check in geomorphology playlist : th-cam.com/video/9wvi3nJMah4/w-d-xo.html
Good evening sir ..... is w m davis model is applicable on ganga river ..... In mountains its is in youthful stage, In plain areas it is in mature stage and so on ?

Sir, I am a geography student and I have a doubt that is irrelevant to this topic but since u r responding to every single comment so I also thought why not ask you -there is a birla mandir in Jaipur beside that mandir there is shiv mandir on top of that mountains hill so I am wondering if that small mountain is a part of the aravali range .there we also have jhalana dungri (small hill ) I don't know what is that dungri made of I even googled it but there is nothing related to this.
Hi..email the details on krishna.geography @gmail.com ....can't say without understanding the feature...send a picture and location with details...make sure you write your original name and NOT use a fake profile or image...be proud of your identity...best wishes
Sorry...not possible here... The audience of geography is not confined to just hindi speaking people...also I am not comfortable in bilingual khichadi...have studied throughout in English medium so can't do justice if I teach in Hindi.
