She's done this, except for rehearsals, since age 6 in remembrance of an orphan girl near her age that she met on the street in the middle east. All my life listening to music and thanks to Angie I understood that in music there are two types of singers and two types of listeners, both are valid. Those singers and listeners who focus on the melodic line, sound gymnastics and emotions that produce the vocal explosions. There are other singers (few singers in the history of music) who focus on the harmony of the musical composition, on the lyrics and its context. Does a songwriter have to be perfect on the melody line? I think not, a musical narrator is like a storyteller whose objective is for the person to enter the story and be trapped in a wonderful place. What hits the heart and squeeze the soul is, for me, Angelina's mix of raspiness, hoarse and cracked voice, nasal sounds, notes of vibrato and melismas that join the gravity of the tone. It progressively leads to the first shout at 6:08 , then to the spectacular Dimash's signature from 6:32 to 6:38, where the loud and forceful crying scream of pain stop suddenly, sharply, changing to a quick shift for a softer tone of resignation and withdrawal, like in a roller coaster from poignant emotional drops, twists and turns to a more soothed loneliness, where tries to dominate the comforting idea that "we are not alone". Notice how she pronouces differently the word "alone", maybe to signify that loliness is always felt in obsessive layers of solitude, smiling memories, longing, disorientation and submission to a quiet-presence loniness. It progressively leads to the first shout at 6:08 , then to the spectacular Dimash's signature from 6:32 to 6:38, where the loud and forceful crying scream of pain stop suddenly, sharply, changing to a quick shift for a softer tone of resignation and withdrawal, like in a roller coaster from poignant emotional drops, twists and turns to a more soothed loneliness, where tries to dominate the comforting idea that "we are not alone".
Notice how she pronouces differently the word "alone", maybe to signify that loliness is always felt in obsessive layers of solitude, smiling memories, longing, disorientation and submission to a quiet-presence loniness.

It was a smart thing to do to come out with the lyric video first. People who are not yet Angels heard her voice and could appreciate her talent without getting caught up on her age. That was a good positioning piece by the record company to expand her reach.
