MY IPAD PRO WAS BENT SOMEHOW? I decided to take it in for repair at the Apple store. I didn't know what to expect, but I was a little surprised at the outcome. Did your iPad Pro bend? Be sure to let everyone know in the comments down below!

it's so true because a tablet is meant to be a PORTABLE computer with no keyboard. but yet the iPad can't stand a backpack, this literally defeats the purpose of having an iPad.

More likely the bag got squashed some how or after having seeing the goon on TH-cam bending his iPad, he thought he’d see how much force was needed to bend it, guess what, putting a reasonable amount of force on it’ll bend, but never just by itself. Switched to android phones 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Never getting another MacBook either. @@charliemarren8724 Well, their tablets are good, but only if you are an artist and use the low lattency on the pro. For anything else, like watching movies or surfing, you can get a pretty nice android tablet for 1/2 the money. The phones, well, the sales are showing - oh wait, they don't even announce the sales anymore, it is that bad:) Their other cool thing is the apple watch, but the other manufacturers will catch up soon.
I am typing this on an iMac 27 retina, so this is the only product that is good, but expensive. But this is just the same old iMac from 2012 with newer internals. And as far as I know nobody is willingly buying new macbooks. Until they fix the keyboard ppl will still keep buying 2015 macbooks used.
Anything that Tim Cook touches turns into ashes and they are still living off of Steve Jobs design guides from back in 2010. Zero innovation. This is very bad and they are going to hit a very hard wall pretty soon.

I have to agree. I’m not entirely sure how I stumbled across this video. Bends don’t just happen from normal wear and tear, unless it’s something like a swelling battery. I knew as soon as I saw the blue reflective shades (especially inside, come on), the Tesla and the iPad, that I didn’t like this video.

@cphginger to be honest most thin tablets break, apple ipads have been bending for a while now especially the pro models ,this year its more in the news because of the video and lots of people have bought it.
@cphginger there have been many cases of older I pads bending like the 9.7 pro and 10.5 pro. Also older I pads like air 2 and mini 2. The pros bend more from the smart connectors you can look at the bend test from everything apple pro for 9 .7 and 10.5. The reason why everyone knows about this because lots of models had issues out of the box and bend tests that went viral. Most modern tablets bend.

Keyshawn Huff if you actually appreciate and take care of your expensive things, you don’t have these issues. It’s amazing how I know people that have iPhone 6s to this day and don’t have any bend. I have the new iPad Pro and have had it for almost two years of literally constant use. I take really good care of my things because I could never afford a replacement, and this thing still looks like it just got pulled out of the box.
It all comes down to people being irresponsible and careless, and unfortunately the Apple gang is a little on the richer side and therefore trend towards not caring. Imagine throwing a slim object made of aluminum in a bag with no protection, probably other heavy things, DEFINITELY tossing that thing around because a bag full of FLAT textbooks alone wouldn’t cause any issues, and then complaining when your thing gets messed up.

That's the quality you can expect from Apple. People claim you pay extra money for pure quality and these pieces of shit bend. I got a Galaxy TAB S2 about 4.5 years old, been traveling all around the world, never use it but sits crushed under stuff, still perfectly streight and works fine.

I’m all up for taking a faulty item back under genuine circumstances, however I do not believe for one minute this was a genuine situation. Also if I did have cheek to try and blag a heavily subsidised replacement I wouldn’t go into the store with attitude. Fake yawning and wearing shades while giving the store guy his best BS.
If it was a genuine case and he’d gone in there, taken his shades of, cut the fake yawning out then I’d have taken him seriously.

Unfortunately my iPad hasn’t bent yet nor have other work colleagues so we must be doing something wrong or not all bend like pencils. There were a few issues with early ones but how many recent bend issues can you name?
If you’ve read my comments I too keep mine in my back pack along with other crap I have in there and although I don’t abuse it, I don’t molly coddle it either. It’s a work tool for me not a fashion statement so it gets a lot of use, I just don’t sit or lean on it while it’s in my backpack. FYI I don’t hate this guy, neither am I putting any hate on his video, you’d have seen an entirely different comment from me if it were to be hateful.
Just like your good self I’m entitled to my opinion and I think his demeanour along with the numerous fake yawns & wearing shades indoors while speaking to a staff member especially after being late for his slot, was at the very least taking the rip. It’s not just my view either if you’ve happened to read several other comments that share the same opinion. Out of interest are you going to call everyone out for their similar opinions too?

Re reading my comment that you remarked on, I can see I should have worded it differently to be fair. I still stand by what I said but I am now aware how easily my remarks could have been taken out of context due to my poorly worded script.
The remark about wanting to punch his face was a figure of speech as in if I were the store guy and I came across people trying it on most days (as I’m led to understand many do) then speaking figuratively “I’d feel like punching his face”. However that is not meant to be taken as a violent action, just a figure of speech just like you might say to a couple of your kids who may be arguing “I’ll bang your heads together if you don’t stop”. That doesn’t mean you’re about to batter your children, it’s purely a figure of speech.
I hope I have explained myself a little better and yes I should have put more thought into my comment before hitting the reply button.

Unfortunately trying to skirt pst the max parking time is impossible with the app based payment method since it blocks you from going over the limit. I would go check for tire marks when my time would be up at a meter and if there wasn’t a mark I’d just add time.

Repairable returned devices get sent to some centralized location for repairs and are then given to the next customer who comes in with a broken device. This way the wait time for the customer is vastly reduced as they only need to wait for a device to ship one way. Not to mention the repair queue and the time it takes to actually do the repair.

This happens. I had 4 months with my New N3DS and slept on it after playing last night. Nothing happened to it until I woke up putting my hands on the front cover fold so the screen at the right lower corner had a bleed mark. Now the colors looks off with a different color contrast.

I had my iPad 2018 really ALWAYS in a case and one day, i recognized that this little plasticpiece on the back (Cellular model) is just broken, so it has a split directly at the mid.
I was in the Apple Store and they said that is felt down 100%.... i explained them that if an iPad falls down a corner or something else would be broken, but they always said I am responsible for the error.... I really like Apple Products but that is really not fair, that they ignore what the customers say and just do not repair it..

Actually bent ipads have been a huge issue since they were released last year. There was a lot of talk about it when they first released and then it died down pretty quickly.
Robert Girdner I’ve had mine 6 months, taken it all round the country in a back pack or suitcase, also 5000 miles abroad and haven’t got so much as a scratch on it. I think some people are just careless, they forget how expensive and breakable their devices are.
