I have been looking for this mix for YEARS. The first song is what caught my attention when I was a child, and over time, the CD that someone burned this mix onto began to degrade (disc rot is AWFUL) and today, that CD is no longer playable. Shazam could not identify the first song back when I could get it to play, and I thought I'd lost it forever... But someone had written Timo Maas on the CD, and I clung to that name in hopes of tracking down the song. Never thought I'd be able to track down the EXACT MIX that was on that CD. This is a fucking FANTASTIC DAY.
This is and was one of my favourite ever albums back in the day when clubbing in Birmingham. Many nights back at mine to party this was put on. Love Timo Maas
Joy Division fan eh, I met two of the band around 1977/78 in Derby at the king's hall I think it was a clash gig, they played at the Ajanta around 1980 I still own the vinyl, they rocked
man...that last track is awesome. "from the light within your eyes, there's a flame that I despise, you should come to realise that you'll end up all alone. It's the truth you need to show, hiding deep within your soul, its so easy to let go every dark moment of the day".
Thanks so much 4 this Pete..i'velost 2 copies of this cd over the years-because it's so good!! Always took it out..i'v just made a similar comment regarding Fabric 29..
The bold Timo has got a habit of dishing out jackin mixes gratis. Maasterpieces wrote off the speakers in my moter. At least they died doing what they loved!?
I loved this to bits when it came out - can't remember where I lost the CD. Incredible that this was free on a magazine cover. I bought 6 of these tunes on vinyl, so it certainly did it's job as a promo CD.
Agreed matey! One of the best albums ever..... as usual Mixmag delivered the goods, I snapped my original cd in half when pished, bought another 2 off ebay and lost the feckers but finally got a download link from a guy I had asked on TH-cam. Such an amazing transition from Progressive House to banging Techno (especially Pounds and Penz) Btw, did you know that, that track has sampled Chic's - 'Freak Out' bassline? Just some random food for thought.
I started end of 99 when I was 16. This set by Timo Maas was my first clubbing experience at Dance Academy in Plymouth, nothing has topped it. I would give anything to go back to those days 😃
this album was free with a magazine in 97 i think. anyhow great stuff, off my titters most of the time it was played. why so fast? - it was never this speed. Trust me i knew a lot about speed back then....
Fucking awesome, remember getting this off mixmag years ago. Also remember seeing Timo Maas at Creamfields (2001?) he came on at 4 in the afternoon and rocked it!
***** Yep, double checked my CD copy and it's the same length. I think he gets the pitched up impression because some of the songs are pitched up slightly from the originals for the mix.
Timo Maas is and always will be ahead of his time
This mix is such a classic... and to think it came attached to a magazine!!! It was so ahead of its time. Long Live 1998-2002!!
Great times...💕🎶👌
Clearly one of the best dj-mixes of all time.

I listened to this mix at least 100 times during early 00s.
Great mix, and Ashtrax simply superb what a great tune nearly 7 minutes of aural pleasure
Timo rocks !
Bought every mixmag from about 1998 to 2005 and this was definitely the best mix cd to come with the magazine
Holy shit my brother had this in his cd collection back in the day

Поздрав из Србије
Pozdrav!
Got this album, one of the best, darkest, hardest trance albums there is. And Maas says he's not a trance DJ, tut tut...

Paul, It's not been pitched up. This is as it came, run your copy over the top of this upload, and you should find it will be in time with it
Wow...ok..guess im getting older and everything sounds faster than it used to be lol!
