Gentleman is a brilliant folk artist with all the attributes of the honest man on a path of devotion to his craft. He can even sing, the total package of realness. I would expect some NYC art sharks seeking decorations for summer cocktail parties at beach houses in the Hamptons are about to swoop down on this cat and his peers, pay him to find the good stuff available, and interior decorators for billionaire's row will be stomping on each other's insteps to get to the front of the line to buy. How that wrecks the authenticity time will tell, but until it does this is a folk art gold mine.

Big missed opportunity here. They didn't they have him explain the actual designs on the suit and what they mean. That's a huge part of the story. And where were they in relation to the main parade? Disappointing.

This man is an artist, he doesn’t need an 8 to 5 job, rather someone needs to hire him / back him and a few others to start a design studio + upload to a travelling museum and sell some too.
i think that will ruin the whole secrecy thing because tbh i didnt know they dress up like this in new orleans. i know they wear feathers and stuff but i didnt know that most of the designs are like a bizarre form of what native americans wore.

Why does the city not fund its traditional artists??? I don't understand. Without them, they have no tourist industry.
