Is there a game that can integrate with Voice Attack or similar software, that would allow you to actually shout at NPC's to get them to do stuff. ????? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Random map means random... doesn't mean a random selection from one of the others but rather random bits of each... the priorities are clear stuff from build sites and then others as they were set, but if you cancel a build site to get something else built you need to de-prioritise any "clear ground" orders as well as that doesn't happen automatically, to 6 of my first settlers' cost... ahem... But for that many folks you're looking at needing probably at least 3 hunters, for defence too. Tough game but a great one!
This is honestly one of my favorite games that you play. I am a bit more partial the more easy pace of something like Foundations or Founders Fortune, but this game is amazing.
What I've found in games like this where you can't do much in the way of prioritization, that it can be really hard to build important buildings when you need them. This game reminds me a little of Kingdoms Reborn where you can "star" a building, but they may still take several years to build it. I've had to force myself to slow down or outright pause buildings in that game in order to get my people to build the important stuff first. I run into similar issues with Timberborn as well. I tend to layout massive projects early game, and then wonder why they haven't built their houses yet. (Because they were focused on whatever I queued up before the houses... *cough* giant reservior *cough*)
In Timberborn at least you *can* set the priority for your buildings... but if you have 5 things that are all top priority, they're just going to do whatever you set up first.
I love the villager logic in these sorts of games. "We are dying of dehydration!" "Build the well? Why would we do that? I've got diddle all to do over here, I think that would be more fun. But come on and hurry up fixing my dehydration!!!"
Sounds like us as humans wanting everything else done for us when we need to do it ourself but we blame the bums in government when we put em there what a good point this game shows
It was not villager logic, but the player logic. He didn't prioritize gathering stone and was wondering why they don't build the well that needs stone xD
Haven't played this since one of the updates starting crashing my computer. I wasn't the only one having the issue. Might have to give it another go and see if they fixed it.
Been looking forward to this series! Too bad you can't force your villagers to do your bidding, like we can in Stranded Alien Dawn. I think those villagers put the fire out with their bodies.
Question about this game: I am interested in buying the game, but I absolutely despise city budling games that have perpetual micromanagement/repetitive tasks. After I build everything, I just want to enjoy my creation, like Anno 1800 or Frostpunk or Cities Skylines. For example, I don't want to have to worry about: - some farm that needs rebuilding, - mines running out of resources and needs to be replenished or having to move it, - having to move gathering locations every now and then, - having to assign workers because the previous workers died of old age. So, does this game have any perpetual micromanagement/repetitive tasks?
There is nothing in this game that requires micromanaging unless you simply want too. Mines can run out, but it's not instant so I would not consider that micromanaging, it's simply managing. Once you reach level 4, you get infinite mine options. The game is a management game, so you can expect there will be things to do and look after and you'll have to build it up to be reasonably self sufficient. If the game played itself, it wouldn't be much of a game now would it? I would not consider anything in the game reaching the level of micromanagement unless a person chooses too, but you still have tasks that need to be done. I've done many play thru's and there are plenty of times where I would be in a position to just let it run for a few years on it's own. The only issue would be trading. Trading is all manual, no automation yet other then setting stock limits. Once the trade comes, you have to manually do it all. So if you let the game sit on it's own, you miss out on any trading.
They absolutely do have a timing issue in this game and seems they have never tried to resolve it either. I noticed it from one of the very earliest releases when it was taking days for people to simply run across a reasonable sized town. It can take a month to move products in to the trade building. We sort of allow for the idea that people sleep and eat more then they do. Then raiders came and they spent a month pillaging and this is where the timing issue really shined. Pretty sure raiders can't survive a month of straight fighting, no eating or sleeping. Sure, it's a game, but come on the timing needs some kind of better balance then what it is.
I have played Frostpunk but that game did give me some problems with my GPU (RTX 2080), and it wasn't just with me. I hope this Farthest Frontiers become good optimized.
a tedious game where npc only make babies instead of working ,I usually end up with 3 kids to every adult, roads and fences get priority over everything
You needed stone to build the well xD you prioritized the well and forgot about prioritizing gathering stone, no wonder they were cutting down trees and didn't build the well fast, lol. Villagers are not the dumb ones here xD
Listening to you shout at NPC's that never hear you is entertainment at its finest on a Monday Lunchtime.

Love it can not wait to see what you get up to in the game

One of those forgotten games in the library. Can't wait to see more and if I should dust it off. So many games right now!

Each building location has a prioritize option and you can add more builders to the site as well.
Click on building foundation and it will have a priority que like someone else mentioned
Yes! Thanks for another round in the FF =)

finally, a worthy successor to Banished.
Well, well, well! Must dust this off and play it again!

Out of the park as always Spanj.
Farthest Frontier reminds me of Banished (and some others). I'm in no rush playing since still an Early Access, along waiting for a god deal.
Is this similar to ANNO series?
Love this game 40 hrs in 2 weeks
I wonder if 0AD is still being developed
Did you cover this before maybe? I like the looks of it a lot
yep, did a series on when it first came out th-cam.com/play/PLeXxYGyW3yFSM_Ll43KyuWNWXxj6X3JQw.html
I wish listed this game, any idea for a time frame for 1.0?
👏

Looks interesting but the time passes way too fast.

yes and realised that later and promptly gave myself shit for being dumb
@@Spanj haha, yeah xD that was funny to watch though ^^
