Flash Floods. Arnold, Nottingham. 19 July 2014

Arnold, Nottingham was hit with a flash flood 19 July 2014. It caused some chaos as the drainage system on Front Street failed. The local community rolled up their sleeves and soon cleared the mess left behind. Oh, the irony of HSBC at the end!

In the 50s the whole of Front Street was dug up and huge drain pipes laid so it wouldn't flood again. Thats before front gardens concreted over front gardens to park cars and the willow trees were cut down along the back of Brookfield.
