What a cool crossover. I know and like Snnuy from Lor. Such a funny and positive guy :) Death knight brought me back to HS but similar to snnuy so many cards in HS are just not fun to play against. It is not even about balance. But Death Knight itself gives me so much joy and nostalgia that I still enjoy this time in HS a lot. Despite the meta, not because of it. I really look forward to the next rotation and more cards for my favorite class. ( for fun and interactive gameplay, runeterra is still delivering )

Druid has one weakness at the moment. The biggest enemy. It's called board space. They need a card, so druid can play 10 minions on board, so Anub can be more broken.

Chillfallen baron is honestly one of my favorite cards of all time, it's both super fair and honest, and also always feels good to play and pretty much never feels bad, God it's such good design
It's funny as I returned to HS for this expansion and for death Knight and I haven't played a single game of DK that I didn't have too. I've pretty much played only Priest with a tiny bit of Druid and Paladin.
Imagine Patchwerk getting nerfed to cost corpses. "Destroy a minion on the field. Spend 3 corpses to also destroy a minion on the deck and spend another 3 corpses to destroy a minion on the hand"
Costing corpses might make it more balanced, but it would be one of those things that needs a ridiculous cost (like 6+) since the baseline effect is an assassinate. Otherwise, they could make it so that it destroys things in both players hand/deck.
@@p.a.r.c1694 The idea is that because the card almost always assassinates, hand rips, and can potentially snipe a key card in the deck (without any counterplay), the balance would be to disrupt your own plays as well (if you don't want to add the corpse cost).
this hs exp seemd rly balanced and fun. I rly hope they will rework the game and make EVERY class have spec cards to spec into, it would make deckbuilding much more fun and interesting
I've been playing Handbuff Death Knight for a while and I really like it, and in it Malignant Horror is one of the big payoff cards. It's just that the archetype itself isn't as strong as some of the other stuff in the game nowadays. You definitely shouldn't run it in a non-handbuff deck though, that's one thing we can agree on.
Funnily enough, I've never managed to use Patchwerk successfully. Half the time the enemy has at least one small minion on the board so this isn't garunteed removal, destroying a card in their deck does nothing unless you're getting to fatigue, and hand is really hit or miss. When you're fighting opponent that by turn 7 have 7 minions on board and like 8 cards in hand, It's just way too slow. You play this, you destroy one of their minions, and then they just kill you. It might be insane in a non-toxic Meta, but Hearthstone has only rarely had a meta that doesn't kill you by turn 4.
Bonelord Frostwhisper in lor seems kinda busted not gonna lie. Play this in full ramp in frejlord, and play this on 6, then feel the rush on 7 and she who wanders on 8 (or swap those). You could even play this card on turn 4 or 5 if you ramp enough! With the free card, you can even buried in ice + it that stares in the same turn. Sure, if you play against ionia and they deny your feel the rush, you probably lose, but if any deck can survive three free frejlord lategame bombs deserves to win anyway.
Malignant horror just needs to be "spend 5 corpses to summon a malignant horror". The buffs just aren't there in DK to make up for the failstate of it copying post-reborn version
Then kill off the post-reborn version yourself, it only has one hp. 5 corpses for 2/4 with reborn is a very bad payoff, the only reason this card can be somewhat playable is copying buffs, 4/6 horror actually won me 2 arena games today

18:05 Bro idk if I’m bad or what but my worst matchup is triple blood deathknight. I can’t build a board cause they have the 8 mana 5/5 and the 5 mana spell and patchwerk and the other minion that swaps cards in players’ hands keep taking away all my win conditions.
Mtg came out with brothers war blue print cards and they have pretty much the same aesthetic direction as signature cards. But mtg is so much more of a serious and world grounded game and it makes sense to come out in there. Hearthstone just looks goofy with those.
Malignant horror isn't 'bad'. I mean it's by no means amazing, but it's versatile and decent. Because i'm an f2p shmuck i'm currently grinding gold ranks with a budget unholy deck and i had slots for it. The deck is by no means build around it and i don't even buff them _much_. But they either eat a lot of removal, lock the board a turn or stay around for absolutely fucking ever, and those are three decent results for playing one. Mind you i generate an excess amount of corpses with the deck as well because as i said, budget. It doesn't win you every game, but even getting 4 3/3 with reborn out of it is actually really really decent and is by no means uncommon when you put one down. We gotta put more love out for just decent cards. While not the best in slot if for min maxing your balls off, we should encourage more fluctuation and personal flair and some tcg spirit ;D Not only for budget play, but wouldn't it be nice to ocassionally just see even a slight variance in at least one slot of the 49th meta big priest you play against today ;P?
So one thing that confuses me is when they brought up the chart of win rates for classes, if you bother to add them up and get the average, it is 49.54%. That feels very silly, there is no way that you get a draw about 1% of the time in hearthstone these days. I may have quit about 2 years in, but I had about 5k games and only had 3 draws, all from a pissed off Warlock using hellfire to kill us both!
I think I love a bit too much when I see just two (or more) peaple having good time s keep making those kind of video, it just bring happyness on youtube (and make the reverse video when you rate LoR card from the last expansion soon, waiting for it I know you are already working on it)
I feel a lot people overrate Patchwerk. Playing a bit as and against Blood, he isn't that incredibly op. He is a nuiscance and most often only the hand effect matters, because deck is usually negilible and board is not always relevant because Blood has so much better removal than 7 mana Deadly Shot
I have won games using Frostmourne so it definitely isn't unplayable, even if this was still at somewhat lower rank. It still doesn't feel right to me to not use it with Arthas. It can actually be pretty strong if you take control of the right minions, it just takes some time to set up, the payoff not really happening until turned 10 just makes it a bit slow. Usually play it in my uber tanky Blood Deathknight Prince Renthal deck.
IMO Hearthstone should have never went the direction of being able to effect your opponents deck and hands as much as you can. It just makes the game feel even more like a dopamine slot machine. Go back to classic people, that's how hearthstone should feel. Not saying the game play needs to be the same or as slow, but like it doesn't feel as BS and idk how else to describe that
I’d say that there are actually quite a few factors that came into play here that make HS feel way more BS than before. 1. Effects from hand have gotten way out of control. The only reason more hand disruption was printed was because cards like Sire Denathrius or Anub’rekhan can absolutely end the game on their own when played and needed to be kept in check by something. But as you said, it makes the game feel way more high-rolly. 2. The board doesn’t matter anymore. In old HS, the game was more minion-centric and knowing when to trade/go all-in was way more important. Nowadays, cards just instantly clear boards, refill them or are battlecries that straight up kill you in one turn. 3. Random generation also heavily affected how games play themselves out. In old HS, you knew your opponent’s limits like Savage Roar otk only does 14 damage, so if you stayed out of that range you were good. But now there are multiple high-power cards that are being generated randomly and numerously, trying to play around anything has become impossible. Want to keep more minions in hand to play around disruption? Too bad, Theotar just steals whatever he wants, and can be generated multiple times. Missed the card the first time? Don’t worry, just discover more Patchwerks. I’m a control deck with 90 health? Doesn’t matter! Because my opponent has generated 6 Astalors and can play them in one turn to kill me anyway.

I just hit legend today and I gotta say, doesn't even feel good with how much it just felt like dumb luck and when it did go well I felt horrible for what I was doing. Deathrattle rogue is pretty problematic. I had a few like actual good games where there was strategy, usually other deathrattle rogues or surviving a druid otk, aside from that it was either high roll or be high rolled lol
Patchwork is BS the number of times someone plays that, they kill 1 in my hand that I NEED and a copy in my deck. And it's usually played when I play a decent legendary

Don’t worry, just discover more Patchwerks. I’m a control deck with 90 health? Doesn’t matter! Because my opponent has generated 6 Astalors and can play them in one turn to kill me anyway.
@PopeNeia :D yeah I'd say all those points are accurate. I just hit legend today and I gotta say, doesn't even feel good with how much it just felt like dumb luck and when it did go well I felt horrible for what I was doing. Deathrattle rogue is pretty problematic. I had a few like actual good games where there was strategy, usually other deathrattle rogues or surviving a druid otk, aside from that it was either high roll or be high rolled lol

Patchwork is BS the number of times someone plays that, they kill 1 in my hand that I NEED and a copy in my deck. And it's usually played when I play a decent legendary
