I was saved in 1970, too. It has been a great journey. I loved Nancy's music. Those were the days of simplicity and purity. No secular recording companies controlling our music.
What a woman,I still listen to and love her music to this day,it was such a blessing to come across this video.
I went to one of Nancy's outdoors concert she did somewhere around 1980 something in Orlando Florida I was so completely stunned by her deep devotion to Jesus our Lord, I really connected to the moment she was at. There was sort of a beaming light coming to me from the stage, the Holy Spirit was truly there and He is always with us!! ! The next musical minister to me was John Michael Talbot... you two got me through many lonely years in my single days! Love and prayers to you guys... XO
Around 1975 or so, I was at Warehouse Ministries in Sacramento and Honeytree was featured that night. I sat up front and she sat next to me. I was a bit star-struck.
I've always been touched deeply by her music.
What a sweet woman of God.

Pioneer by honey tree really touches my heart I weep every time. I think that each one of us have a Personal relationship with Jesus and our walk is unique and we can’t look back at what we did or didn’t do as a born again believer we have to look forward and keep walking towards his call. Such a wonderful song for each of us as a Son or Daughter of God. Thank you for your devotion to our LORD.
I re,member see Nancy perform at the Creation Festival in 78 or 79 and I kept yelling, and I was way, way back in the crown, 'Honeybee' lol. Great Festival, great friends and great blessings...! Also won a 'Pioneer' cassette from Nancy at a private birthday party for her where she gave us a personal concert, in 93 or 93. Pioneer, the story of my little girls and myself going through a divorce so many years ago!
Love Honeytree! I was a young teen in the 70's, was part of a radical new ministry that taught the five-fold ministry, and really changed my life. Church was no longer the same. Our radical ministry also met house to house. I am trying to get back to that to start one in my home. I married and went through divorce 23 yrs ago. Its hard being a pioneer after being a follower for so long.

I so enjoyed this interview. I first heard the song Pioneer on TH-cam a few weeks ago and immediately purchased a couple of Honeytree's CDs. Pioneer has truly resonated with me since I started in the Deliverance/Healing Ministry in the 70s when it was frowned upon in the church. It is finally being accepted and understood by many in the church as necessary. Thank you for your meaningful songs written from the heart. AND, thank you Rebecca for your unique ministry; it is such a blessing to so many.

The Jesus People revival was absorbed by the institutionalized church. We all started having kids and needed a place to go to take the family. We stopped meeting in homes and got into our religious rut. Many regrets.
Oh my gosh… yes… that is EXACTLY what happened and I was taught a lot of fallacy and legalism. I’m just not after decades really learning what God/Jesus truly is.
There is a different between legalism and holiness. The Bible is full of holiness teaching from the apostles and Christ to teach us how to put off the old nature. Legalism goes beyond the teachings of Jesus and gets us in bondage to rules and regulations that have nothing to do with true discipleship. The modern church is more into libertinism than legalism with the seeker-friendly and prosperity gospels.

The ANOINTING upon and flowing through our music, songs/singing is everything. Without it we're simply making more noise. Just like everyone else.......a waste of peace.
