I learned a lot again. This one was actually too amazing. i would have abandoned that job and ran out the door ...lol. Thanks for posting this you guys. Much appreciated!!
OMG you guys are great! I wish people that designed furniture would make it with moving in mind- maybe something that was in smaller sections and then fit together in place. It just looks crazy to have to move all this heavy huge furniture upstairs and around winding staircases. Thank goodness for the experts like you and God Bless!
It not furniture designer the problem, it house architect, haha. Some house have a portico with the second door in 45 degree and other crazy thing like that, they not thinking about moving big and large thing.
With a sofa bed it's possible to reduce weight. 1) by removing the cushions. 2) by removing the mattress and 3) in many cases (depending on the manufacturer) by removing the mechanism (sometimes by only loosening and/or removing a few bolts). You may not have been able to do #3 but certainly could have done #1 and #2. It would have reduced the weight by 50 (or more) lbs.
Good video. Suggest taking the legs of the sofa before wrapping & moving it. Sugerencia: saquen las patas del sofa antes de cubrirlo . Excelente video! Bravo!
Stupid doorways. Don't know why they can't make it wider by a few inches then there would be no issues at all. It's like it was designed just to piss off people. I couldn't do this. I wouldn't last a week. I give mad props and have lots of respect for people who does this for a living.
Omg I wish u guys were in NZ, I recently purchased a gorgeous 3 seater leather couch only to have 2 failed deliveries...neither team was willing to even try and fit it thru my fairly narrow door and do a turn in order to get it into the lounge ...so now I have to start all over again and go buy a 2 seater (which I didn't want) and a chair that have removable cushions...even tho the old second hand corner couch I had on here was able to be moved in and out by just me and my neighbour...u guys are a true inspiration! Like I am left wondering why these shops even sell couches that won't go thru doors of older style flats or houses....I am so disappointed!!!
Door openings need to come redesigned for real tho, with couches being bigger even when you remove the cushions. Houses need to start being built with wider door openings.
Most of the mover's I know don't use straps or that awsome dolly you have. I bought some basic hump straps just to take for my self, makes a big difference
I know in my heart there has to be a better way to get furniture upstairs without killing your back or breaking your fingers. The guy who figures that one out will be a millionaire.
The people who design these houses should design systems to make it easier to load furniture in each room. They should ratings of the length width and height of furniture or different items being brought into the house. Houses should have this specification. If stairs are built like this then build service elevators.
They build a million dollar home; I think they don't give a fuck if you need to buy a new couch that fits better. They aren't going to redesign it for your 2000 dollar couch.
Rookie moves. Should have taken the front door off. Rubbing up against the door frame and the door can be costly and looks amateur. Then they should have removed the feet off the sofa. Then they should have removed the packaging so that the item is not one big square mass and easier to move. Once the packaging is remove you can remove the cushions, just have to make sure that the bed mechanism that holds the mattress is tied in place with a rope so it does not open.
Put me as a Foreman I will do that alot easier and quicker first take couch legs off then lift take it in front of the stairs then stand it up then push it towards the other person in front then lift and there goes your tip$$$
People always say to work smarter, not harder. There's a difference between working smart and being lazy. I like how you guys work smart AND hard. One of the very first things any good mover does, is take the doors off. You guys usually do that, but not this time. What happened?
Everyone know that you out the couch facing the open inside of the doorway so you angle it when you get it in. . and it takes one more brain cell than it does muscle. . .
What goof puts the Back of a couch onto a dolly = There's no support there, put it underneath. . Especially when unloading off the truck so you don;t have to move it twice. . .
I love how the whole team corrects each other and they all take the advice well and adapt. That's a damn good team! Very hardworking handsome guys!

I would have taken the cushions and mattress out first. It would have been lighter.

Most likely it probably just couldn't fit through your doorway..always measure first to make sure your don't run into that type of issue
I normally take the door off (only 3 minutes), then I can use the Dolley to get the sofa into the door. It is easier and avoid scratches.
I think the manufacturers could include removable dust cover for access to remove heavy components. (And of course make them removeable.)

Dear sirs what make are those black heavy duty shoulder straps are you using.and where can they be bought in the uk.0
Nice job! That was a difficult one
I'd like to know how much they charged just to move the sleeper sofa to the upstairs room.
Id charge 300 just for that
It's crazy how in 2018 they don't create sofas in a way the can be dismantled and reassembled.
Ummm, they do.
@@RescueMovingServices respect bro it seems bloody hard work you must have iron muscles

Great job. Perhaps next time to save customers time and maneuver more efficiently always remove the legs if removable and cushions to reduce weight.
I worked at this same job in Phoenix same this but got it done within 3 hours and took three of us on a 115 degree day.
Great work! 👏
That couch looks heavy as hell. Probably expensive too. Great job guys!
I was wondering when y'all were gonna unscrew the leg lol but that body strap is pretty cool tho

It's heavy because there is a ton of wrap on it 😂and nice stripped pyjamas bro,if you can't handle it I'll fly from new Zealand 😂
Great you managed to squeeze it in without having to heft the couch upright and rotate the L shape around the frame.... that kills my back.

I'll never understand why people buy this stuff. We had a nasty mattress the other day. It took 4 of us to get it into the house.
@@RescueMovingServices Yes, we have good days and bad days. A good day is a flat house and no heavy couches.
Tight as door in a big ass house. Smh

i use shoulder straps going up stairs

It also helps when you have a partner that has an idea what he's doing and communicates with you. And can pick up more than 100 pounds
That's what we moved today 10 hrs 3 loads
TANK OREJA one house?
And the brick drivers just return my smaller couch back to the warehouse because they said it couldn’t fit inside my apartment.
Why didn't you take the door off of the hinge?
