Just had my son yesterday. A little off topic for this video but I had the easiest unmedicated hospital birth. Like I was literally chatting with the nurses at 9cm dilated and felt perfectly fine in part due to your breathing through labor techniques. Thanks so much, momma.
Congratulations on the birth of your son! That's amazing to hear about your positive birth experience. We're so glad our breathing techniques helped you through labor. Wishing you and your little one all the best on this new journey! 💕
I just wanted to leave a comment here to let you know that your affirmation meditation videos got me through my labor and birth!! I breathed through all of my contractions while trusting my body and my baby was here before I knew it. Thank you so much for your time and effort into making all of your videos. Your TH-cam channel was an essential tool that I used throughout my last trimester and labor. My labor only lasted 2 hours, it was unbelievable!! I believe it was because I ate 6 dates a day for the last 4-6 weeks of my pregnancy (I can’t remember when I started the dates) and I took Birth Prep pills from 36 weeks until birth. My baby was 6 days past his due date so I naturally induced (with my midwife’s OK) with midwives brew once in the morning and again 4 hours later to keep surges going since they slowed down before my second batch. Within an hour after taking the 2nd batch I was in labor and my baby was here in 2 hours! I was amazed on how fast it happened. Everything went way better than what I could’ve asked/prayed for. Again, I just wanted to share with you the role you played in my birth story even if it was over TH-cam. Thank you so much! Keep up the great work 🖤✨
Been up for about 48 hours with a massive headache from not sleeping. My wife has been in pain for the last 9 days, so ive been taking charge of the whole thing. I can finally get some sleep. Shes gonna take an 8 hour shift for me. Im literally dying right now. Zzzzzz goodnight
I found your videos around 36th week and it helped a lot during labour. With God’s Grace I was able to go unmedicated labour without epidural for my second son on February 5th 2022, I reached hospital at 3:30 am was 7 cm dilated and by 6:30 am I was 10cm and baby was born at 7:14 am. Thanks for your videos. And Praise God!
Wow, that's amazing to hear! Congratulations on the birth of your second son and for having such a smooth and unmedicated labor experience. We're so glad our videos could be a helpful resource for you during this special time. Wishing you and your family all the best! 🌟👶🙏 #PraiseGod #Congratulations
I've since learnt most of these things (baby is 5 months old) but wish I knew this beforehand. I never knew anything about pumping and now I'm exclusively pumping.
Great video! Just had my second babe 3 weeks ago & I already do some of these & I definitely agree about the last tip. It makes SUCH a difference in how stressed or relaxed I am. Clean spaces with not too much clutter (toys) - especially the living room where my toddler plays most of the day/ make me so much more relaxed during the day.
I just started my maternity leave a week ago. I'm currently 39 week pregnant with my second child. At night, during my free time, I'm working on a digital art project as a hobby before baby get here. I find that I've been going to bed at 1-2am when I work on the computer before bed. As before, when I was still working full-time, I was going to bed at 11pm. As soon, as you said, "blue light". You reminded me to grab my blue light glasses that I always forget to wear.
If you are watching this, remember YOU GOT THIS! You are doing a great job. Just remember to take a moment and remember why and WHO you are doing this 🥰❤
Watching this video completely sleep deprived at 12:00am with a six week old - tip #1 put away and turn off screens😂 but should I finish the rest of the video first or?
Hey there! Thank you for watching our video and for sharing your current situation. It's great that you're already implementing tip #1 by putting away screens. If you're feeling too tired, it might be a good idea to prioritize getting some rest first. You can always come back to finish the video later when you're feeling more refreshed. Take care and remember to take care of yourself too! 💤👶🏼 #ParentingLife
Omg tip number #10 is everything to me. My family doesn’t understand but I’m glad to hear you mention it because it makes me feel less crazy lol. My house might be a mess but not my sleep space 😌 Thank you for these tips!
Your videos prepared me so much for mom-hood! My post partum doula also suggested night time diapers as they are super absotbant and keep the baby dry. We do use those paired with EC which works wells! Could you do a video on high lipase milk? I didn't know about lipase and thought that my bbay bottles were never clean enough and making the milk go "bad". It took nearly 7 months to figure it all out And SO much stress.
Great timing Bridget! My almost 6 month old is keeping us up at night🥱 and my day is definitely suffering!😩 Praying she does better soon… she’s outgrowing her bassinet & needs to get in her crib in a shared bedroom but I don’t want her keeping big sister awake at night. Help! Note: yes a weighted blanket is helping my 5 year old! Got her a twin size one with unicorns at Target for $50. She loves it.
How do you get over the fear of SIDS? We have been following a sleep schedule so that baby is not alone while sleeping. With help from family of course
Cosleeping helps a lot. Also, SIDS is not only due to vaccines, but look into it. The US has the highest SIDS rate and the most vaccines in the first 12 months. At the end of the day you have to trust God and enjoy your baby. It goes by quickly, you don't want to regret not enjoying it due to anxiety.
What's your thoughts on dream feeds (is this what it's called?)? Meaning that I take sleeping baby and feed it right before I go to bed myself. Considering doing it with my second one (due in 8ish weeks) because I remember my first one would come right about when I was about to fall asleep and it was sooo exhausting😵💫
Hi Bridget Video idea 💡 I’m 25 weeks along and feeling pretty okay about labour, pain, tearing, pushing etc. But I’m terrified about still birth or that there’s something wrong with Bub when he arrives…ie a bad outcome. Any strategies to help with this? I feel like it’s so bad it’s going to affect my labour.
My baby is 2 months! When he is asleep at night. I am so tired but still awake! I will put away my phone, have a dark room and use my weighted blanket. He is pretty good at being put to sleep. I'm just struggling to fall asleep! Wish me luck!
Hi Bridget, thank you for your videos, they are helping me a lot to get over my fear or labor and feel more empowered. Could you make a video about ECV? I still have a few weeks to go before my due date and my baby is still breech so I’m considering ECV to try and have a vaginal delivery. Thank you :)
Wish this video was out sooner, but this is exactly what we did & got used to our own schedule. Good to note: we as parents use the sound machine to fall asleep too, because our 1month old don’t sleep quietly 🤣 also, I don’t fall asleep so easily - I do a quick breathing technique and try to clear my mental chatter. I find this meditation works: th-cam.com/video/2Co5D1i9vdM/w-d-xo.html P/S: good luck future/current parents 💪🏻
You should be able to smell the difference if you hold baby fully clothed up to your nose. Breastfed newborn poo is very inoffensive with a sweet smell to it and a well hydrated baby's urine doesn't have any/much odour at all. If your sense of smell is weak from allergies or past surgery, you might like to put baby in a gown at night to give you easy access for a visual inspection.
Thanks for the advice! When she got a little older, I realised a yogurt-like smell. Now that she is eating cooked vegetables, there is no doubt any more :)
Hi Bridgett ! Thank you for your videos ! I was curious if you had any info on missed miscarriage ? I feel like it’s not something really spoken about and now I don’t even know how long to wait until I should try a different route such as Cytotec or D & C.
I would speak to a midwife or doctor ASAP if you've had one. I had to carry my deceased baby for 2 weeks because I simply didn't know he stopped growing. Any longer and I would have gotten really sick. I had a healthy baby this past year. I pray you're alright.
@@threearrows2248 thanks for your response ! I’ll be going this week to get another ultrasound bc I want to be 100% sure his heart stopped since I’m not cramping or bleeding . I will follow up with doc . Thank you! I wish I could see a midwife but none will see me bc I’m diabetic
@@Dayspring77 I had absolutely no symptoms. It was a shock. My OB tried to listen to the heartbeat and there was none. I was 16 weeks along. Praying for you.
For me, I had a missed miscarriage while I still had pregnancy symptoms. I still felt nausea badly, boobs hurt, had to pee all the time etc. I had ultrasound 8wk+5 and everything was good. Then when I should have been 10wk+1, I had another ultrasound because I fainted from blood work earlier that morning. This ultrasound showed no cardic activity & ultrasound tech said estimated gestational age was 9wk+1, meaning my L.O. passed away a week ago. I waited a few more days, then took cytotec (I was instructed to take it vaginally). I started to bleed about 8hrs later. But, I still had some tissue that needed to come out so the medication route didn't work completely in my case. But then, some time a few weeks later everything cleared from my body. Your choice is up to you. Your body will eventually pass everything but the longer your the higher the risk of infection & that's why they tell you to choose cyototec or D&C. In my experience, medication route was very hard emotionally to have to keep waiting for something to happen & then when my body started to pass everything I cried and cried b/c it was so hard to see all this come out of me and wonder what could have been.
@@roar44879 I'm so sorry you had to experience that Rachel. My doctor didn't even tell me about medication - I would have opted for a d&c anyway. No pain at all, and it was all finished there. No side effects that I know about, and like I said, I just had a super healthy pregnancy and delivery. My son is 2 months now.
My baby is 11 months old, she does not eat anything except breast feeding, due to this she has become very weak, please suggest something, what should I give to her whom she starts eating
Took myslef to bed after babies bed time to have an early night and longer sleep before the 3am feed but now I’m watching this video instead of sleeping😂
Imposible to sleep if the only thing I do is rocking the baby to sleep just to have him wake up the minute I put him in the crib. Also natural birth… I was going to give it a try but as soon as I felt those painful contractions there was no breathing technique that could lower the pain. I think no need to go through that unless you are one of the lucky ones that feel very little pain during contractions.

That’s what diapers are… babies sit in pee during the day too. No difference. I never change either of my kids at night unless they pooped. It’s very hard for them to fall back asleep after. Diaper companies brag about keeping babies feeling dry and fast absorbency because diapers are meant to be able to stay on for hours. My child suffers from atopic dermatitis and we must change his diaper after every night feed, otherwise his skin is red, itchy and wounded in the morning. He now sleeps through it, as he got used to it and his skin is healthy after night. We learnt the hard way not to trust diaper companies, they will tell you anything you want to hear to sell you the product.
