Fantastic tutorial
Thank-you Steve!
Espectacular 💖😍
Thank you!
😍😍😍😍
Thanks🌷
how long did it take the panel to dry?
Hello! I really love watching you tutorials, I did a version of this cake a month ago and came out really good. But my blue was not quite a nice as I would have liked. Would you mind sharing the colour blue that you used on the board.
Thanks!
I can't remember if I airbrushed it or covered it with paste! haha. If I airbrushed it, it would have been Kroma blue and black mixed together. If it was paste it would have been Renshaws Navy coloured paste xx
Thank you so much for getting back to me!
Was that black paint you added to cracks and if so what brand
The base is done with fondat or gumpaste?
Thank you so much for your tutorial. 2 questions, 1: can I put these on the side of a cake with just the buttercream I don’t want to cover the entire cake with fondant, only the panels. 2: Can I make these panels a day ahead of time then put them on the following day when I decorate my cake. Thank you!
Sure! You can put them on with buttercream, just make sure they are set firm, they are totally fine to make the day ahead! x
Little Cherry Cake, Thank you for getting back to me. I’m new to fondant work. I am definitely a fan of yours, you inspired me. Forever a Subscriber. ❤️
Oh wow. I need this for my daughters cake in August! Lol. I need to make a donkey Kong barrel for the second tier. You're amazing. Xx
Oh amazing! That will look cool :D x
Love your works. Do you mind if I ask, what kind of board do you work on (acrylic)?
Hi, Yes I often have cakes placed on an acrylic circle for easier clean up :D x
Little Cherry Cake The board that you can roll out the fondant. Thanks for all your videos.
Oh I just use my kitchen worktop x
Thank you for the tutorial
Thanks for watching!
So helpful video thanks❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👌
Thank you, glad you liked it x
Bello bello
Super look
how do you make your fondant?
I buy it :D x
Would this work for a regular color wood panel?
Sure, I've also done brown versions :D x
@@Cherrycakeco, for the brown version we still use corn starch but with brown food colouring? and is it liquid or gel food colouring? thank you.
Great job!! Can I ask you where you from? I like your accent!
Thank-you! Sure, I'm from Lancashire, in the UK x
Little Cherry Cake Thank you! I've learnt a lot of important skills from your channel. 😊
Aww thats great!! Thank-you for watching :D x
Where can I get corn flour
Do you let the panels dry out and become hard before adding it to the cake? Really great video, this is very clever :)
I usually let them firm up just a little so they dont move too much when handling :D xx
Would corn starch work just as well as corn flour?
Yes, its the same thing :D xx
Oh haha! I got different opinions about that on Google so I wasn’t sure!! Thank you!!
Yes in the US cornstarch is a fine white powder …our fine white powder here is called cornflour :)
But I believe the US corn flour is something else entirely 😂 it can get confusing!
new subbie here...
Yay welcome on board! x
Aww amazing tutorial. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
