    I agree, great that Gina K. is making stamps that coordinate with other stamp sets. Thank you Gina K, and thank you Jennifer M. for sharing all of your techniques, tips, and Beautiful card!

    Great cards and thank you for leaving in the boo-boo! I have made a card (more than once!) and when I went to open it to write in, discovered that I put the front panel on upside down! Aack! LOL!

    Love, love these cards! I’m thrilled that you used Gina’s feathers because I have them. I learned how to make the individual cut pieces today so I can make them in your eclipse technique. Can’t wait to make them! I, too, love all things butterflies and feathers. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas!

    If you didn’t want to get so inky that day, you could use patterned paper to do the eclipse. Essentially embossing on patterned paper and cutting them out with die cuts.

    • @bunnylands916
      @bunnylands916 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's called different things, most commonly it's referred to as a jewel picker or an embellishment pick up stick.I don't know what brand Jennifer was using here. (It might be the Trinity Stamps jewel picker, which she listed in the supplies for another recent video, but it could just as easily be a different brand.)

    I love the idea of multiple stamp sets working with a set of dies; I had no idea Gina K did this. Very cool 😎
    But of course a stamper doesn’t actually need coordinating stamps to go with a die. You could cut out your shape and then compose stamps on top or use a background stamp and then die cut part of it. Another way to go is just to find a similar image in a stamp and then use a smaller die to cut it out; that technique works well with butterflies.

  • @kareneaton433
    @kareneaton433 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is one of my favorites from Gina K also. I love that dies cuts work for all three sets.

    Intended or not, your comment…..” please don’t take “note” of the music being upside down”…..gave me a chuckle!!! Being a musician, I’m not sure I would have noticed, but because there is no clef signs on the graph, it really doesn’t matter. As always, you inspire creativity and joy in my card making. Thanks for sharing.

    I noticed that the Gina K coordinating dies shown in this video follow the exact outline of the stamps. I'm not a fan of borders around stamped images, so I hope other brands will follow suit. (I actually enjoy fussy-cutting, but some images are sufficiently difficult to fussy-cut that I'd prefer to use a coordinating die, if I could buy one that cut out the image without adding a border.)

  • @MimiLisa1961

    I don’t have the Gina K feather dies but I do have some from Anna Griffin That I believe will work in this design. I used to do eclipse technique often but somehow got away from it. Thank you for reminding me of something I’d forgotten I loved!

    Beautiful work, Jennifer. I sometimes use one layer of fun foam instead of several layers of cardstock to build up a die cut. Is there any reason why you always use cardstock? You usually always have good reasons for doing what you do.

    Beautiful cards, Jennifer! I placed my first order with Gina K. after your video showing the feather kit and also ordered the music background. I think I will be making a close replica of your last card for my husband’s birthday next month.
