Skinning puppies was the reason the character of Cruella was created in the first place When Dodie was writing the book one of her friends told her that her dogs would make a nice coat and she decided to base her villain off of that one weird comment We don’t want anything bad to happen to the puppies but we do want characters that feel like who they’re supposed to be, 2021 Cruella doesn’t even look like she’s be evil enough to do what Cruella is known for
