For me, chalk makes the best foundation for a crush, so I hear only the sounds of the chalk crushing and powder falling and not the clinky clanky sounds of a hard surface or container. I realize that some people like the sounds of a surface or bowl and that we all have different preferences. A layer of chalk happens to be my preferred foundation. Tysm!!
