Just one question: I'm confused about seam allowance, you mention adding extra inches from the waistband on wards, but the calculation at the start you calculated the radius as 33", but then there's 3 pieces of the skirt, each loosing about an inch as you put the skirt together, so do we need to add seam allowance inches to the radius?
I should probably record a zipper tutorial. I’ll admit it’s intimidating fittings zipper until you get good directions and give it a fair chance 😅. Then you’ll see how easy and enjoyable it really is!
Hi Mariam 👋🏾 I didn’t calculate 1/4 of the radius. My radius for a circle skirt is “Circumference ÷ (2π)”. In my case, that is “33 ÷ 6.3” which is equal to 5.2. I then subtracted 0.2 inches from that and I got 5 😊 (The subtraction of 0.2 was necessary because the lining doesn’t have pockets. The main skirt fabric will use that 0.2 added to the radius to make allowance for the pocket pieces attached by the side seams).

I dont wear skirts 😂😂 last i worn was in highskul not planning to in the near future even when i go shopping i pass skirts very fast
