The thing about the original pen is that the actual "pen" part of it was the Ion Cannon accessory, which then clipped inbetween the legs to create a longer, stable pen.

The pen transforms exactly like the original, and it works just fine as a pen. The only part that completely sucks is the robot mode

This version of the OP pen has can actually (somewhat) sign his own death certificate. I'm sorry that glob of plastic cost you a decent dinner. However, those weapons do seem cool.
I even got the bootleg version of the combiner wars megatron

Most likely the problem with this KO is they couldnt produce an accurate duplicate of the mold, that's why the details of the figure isn't sharp, instead rounded like melted plastic.

Yeah, but the bootlegs and the knock Ops. There was more money than the real stuff. You don't want it for 20 bucks. I'll give you 5 bucks for it, and I'll make me 40 bucks. Because knock ups, they're collectible. Now everybody wants to knock off, nobody wants to real thing. But knock Ops is where the money's at. It is surprised how much money I make there for going to the dollar store and buy and I'll just knock off toys. I make about $5060 purtoy. I'd need up to a $100 more off of a dollar knock off. They're very, very collectible.
