In this it is Victor the Guitar Nerd who has worked with Dan on many of his covers. Dan's band, Fearless, is only on a couple of his covers, but, can be seen on their original music videos..
I love the variations Dan uses throughout the song ... every note is treated a bit differently... to add vocal interest. And that scream! Such a cry of utter despair! 😅😊

Actually, in the majority of Dan's covers Dan produces the instrumentals using software, keyboard and other tools. Then he does the mixing. Quite remarkable.

I usually don't care for covers, but everything Dan does is just a little unique and usually better than the original. Now, he has the luxury of tons of studio time layering vocals and instruments, and that's ok. The end result is always glorious. My favorite part of the reaction is seeing the joy on your face as Dan performs, because it's the same look I'm sure I get on my face! For the next video, I'd recommend The Music of the Night. Flawless. You'll get whiplash bouncing back and forth in Dan's tremendous range of abilities. Peace.

Epic! To your growing list of his covers to check out. I'd add Rolling in the Deep (Not an Adelle fan but he rocks it) Poker Face (a Lady GaGa cover that he makes metal. Fire!) In Wurthering Heights he sings as Cathy and hits notes that a lot of females can't, and then there is the lows in The Rains of Castamere. There is nothing he can't sing.

There's many others, Fairy Tale, Battle Hymn, Son of Pain, Heaven Can Wait, Last Stand, Kiss From a Rose...

I was very interested right away, when you mentioned Iron Maiden's album "Powerslave." I had previously read down through the lyrics of the #2 track "2 Minutes to Midnight," and seen what they were doing with that album...powerful stuff (to say the least). Think it's related only to 1982? Nope.
So...on 10/31/23, a LOT of us were waiting for the new song (which we had already identified by Dan's clue for us on INSTAGRAM) to pop up sometime during the day...but by late night already, it hadn't.
Because I had also been digging into the lyrics of "The Number of the Beast," and doing some research back into the Hebrew and Greek parts of the Bible that lead into the book that is ACTUALLY entitled "The Revelation of Jesus." I basically already knew what I was looking for, there, because I DO dig for those kinds of things all the time.
That night, though, at 20 minutes to 10 PM (Central), I suddenly sat up straight, and said, out loud, "Dan! You're NOT! Are you? Oh, Wow! I'll bet you ARE!" So then I waited a little less than 20 minutes, and sure enough. He posted it at...did you guess it...? 2 Minutes to Midnight (his time).
Dan Vasc doesn't generally leave much of anything to chance. He's a very intelligent, purposed man. That move, made me realize for SURE, that he wanted people to go listen to that particular song. If you know the song, and you know what's going on in the world right now--especially the part since mid-October, in the middle east, well--and especially since the movie I can't name or my comment will disappear was released, then you know why THAT song was an important part of Dan's plan.
You also need to know that "the number of a man being 666," has NOTHING to do with a mark on a forehead, etc. It DOES have to do with the authority that was given to mankind in the very beginning, when mankind was created in God's own likeness, and Holy Spirit breathed into the first Adam His very own breath and creativity. Mankind was not made to BE God, but to be LIKE God in every way that would make them/us to be the owners of our appointed world, and to tend it. When the first Adam and the woman (who had not yet been named Eve) gave over that authority to the "serpent," the AUTHORITY OF THE MAN (who was created on the 6th day and given a triune/threefold nature, thus creating the number 666) was passed over to the one who had deceived them ( lied to them and stolen from them...see John 10:10 ) ... UNTIL (Genesis 3) the ONE would come, in the form of a human, yet with everything in Himself ready to prove that He was/is God Himself...the LAST Adam, who would TAKE BACK that authority and invest it back into God's created people...which comes down to every single person who came from the original DNA set.
THAT's the number that "the beast" likes to scream out that he WILL come back for, and that he will then make us BURN. That's what the drummer (at that time) for Iron Maiden kept hearing, after he woke up from his dream, then the song was written.
The point of all of that, is that Jesus ALREADY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. At the point where He had taken upon Himself everything that the devil had generated to try to wipe OUT mankind, He stated, "It is finished!" (basically) (which pointed directly to Old Testament prophecies with those words contained in them). Then He allowed Himself to die, humanly, and while He was proving that He HAD thus died, by not coming out of the grave throughout the next three days, until He was LEGALLY pronounced DEAD, He snatched the keys of death and hell from the devil, and set the captives free, as He then resurrected HIMSELF (as MAN, and as GOD), stuck around for 50 days (which speaks of liberty, in itself), then took His OWN shed (human and Godly) blood (He was the PERFECT Sacrifice--the FINAL Sacrifice under the LAW), and presented it on the Mercy Seat in Heaven, after which He was seated forever in the Justice Seat.
THAT was when the devil knew, without any doubt, that he was NEVER going to get that REAL authority back, over the "cosmos," or over mankind. The ONLY way he can take that authority since that time is to do the same things that he SUCCEEDED in doing to Adam and Eve...LIE. John 10:10 tells us that he is the liar, the killer, and the destroyer. When Jesus did what He did, on the cross and then finished everything according to the LAW, thus FULFILLING it for all time, He knew that He had ultimately lost. Unfortunately, he has continued to lie and people have continued to believe him, enough that he will take whatever power they give him, through fear and lack of knowledge of how to stand AGAINST him.
So when he (like he did in the dream of that drummer of Iron Maiden, which then resulted in that song being written) screams at people that he WILL come back and cause them to BURN, it is only a LIE, and he cannot make it STICK...unless we let him.
Now, when you connect "2 Minutes to Midnight" and all its lyrics entail, you can see that the TIMING of those songs is quite relevant (pertinent) to the matters we are seeing played out in our world today. Guess what? It's past time for people to REALIZE that we don't HAVE to put up with all the JUNK, and people ARE realizing it and stepping out against it.
Want more proof that Dan knows those things and IS doing just that, through quite a LOT of his music?
Check out his version of "Breaking the Silence," (originally done by Firewind in 2007). Also check out his previous Halloween songs (the past two years), then carefully look at THEIR lyrics. You can find a very important person to these times hidden in the lyrics for Dr. Stein, for example. All of Helloween's music is that way, just as is all of the Iron Maiden music. You know how we've had to say things in different ways for a while, now? Well...
After you've checked out the Halloween songs, check out Dan's Christmas songs, and how he presents them. Then when you get to Easter, and you see last year's "Amazing Grace" (which you already have done), start wondering what he will present for Easter (or as I always call it "Resurrection Day" and it doesn't matter WHEN you celebrate it) in 2024.

Heard Dan comment that Victors solo was so great that he got copy righted they thought they copied the original guitarist. It was corrected so he could release this. Can’t remember where I read that though
