In 1968, Sheikh Abdullahi Ahmed Maikano Jallo (RA) lunched a jihad in the defense of the ´Tarika; And the main weapons he use were the Quran and the Hadith. His main enemy was Mallam Alpha Ajura. On his way to Bawku in the north of Ghana, for a visit to some family members, the Sheikh stopped over at Tamale, the hometown of Alpha Ajura. Sheikh was told all the stories about this enemy of the ´Tarika´ of Sheikh Ahmed Tijani (RA); He was also told how brave Alpha Ajura is. And for that reason, he was asked to help defend the ´Tarika´ in the town of Tamale. He agreed to the request and stayed for a whole year to preach in defense of the ´Tarika´ with the help of Holy Quran and the hadith. On 13th March 1969. Sheikh jallo became face to face debate in Tamale Police park was the day Sheikh clearly won this debate with the help of the Holy Quran and hadith.
