Agree. For one, I think it's absolutely logical to like bands that sound similar to other bands you love. And secondly, Uada definitely have their own twist on this sound. Similar approach, but still enough differences. My favorite Mgla song, by the way, also sounds very similar to a song by Lord Belial, so there you go.

Everyone calling Uada a Mgla clone seems to be conveniently forgetting how many Emperor, Darkthrone and Burzum clones are out there.

I would say Limbonic Art is probably the most Emperor-y of the bunch. Still pretty good, though.
False has got some heavy duty Emperor vibes (as well as notable USBM influences, namely Weakling).
And Carach Angren comes to mind. Though they share more similarities with bands like CoF and Dimmu Borgir. But heck, even their early stuff sounded a lot like Emperor.
I think this is too superficial and not true. For example Limbonic Art always had his own style. The example of Weakling, Carach Angren are not good either...
Something will not automatically become an Emperor clone when the music is dense, lots of blast beat, lots of symphonic influences (Limbonic Art, Carach Angren), e.t.c. It is never so easy.
In the case of Darkthrone and Burzum and Mgla clones (if there are any) the formula is much simpler, of course.

Mgla destorys this. Uada is pretty good tbh, but Mgla is next level to be completely honest. Their songwriting is incredible, the vocals are fantastic, the riffs are memorable, the melodies are super memorable, darkside is one of the best drummers on the scene and last but not least their lyrics are second to none, expressionistic, nihilistic poetry at its best.
Dude I agree uada are amazing but mgla are equally fantastic give em a go

@Unpopular Politics They will never have Darkside though. A huge thing what makes Mgla Mgla is his drumming genius and Uada really lacks that here to stand on the same pedestal.
