Why is the floor of the kennel made with wire? That is awful for their paws. That’s just sure laziness making them stand on a wire floor like that. Have some sympathy for them and make it a solid floor. How would you like to have to walk on that kind of floor with your bare feet.

Yep, nice looking hunting dogs. Just an idea if you have the time: If instead of 'kitty litter' you had an open gutter in the ground there, it could run into a sunken IBC DIY septic tank. Then all you would have to EVER do is just hose out the gutter (literally a 30 second job) and the septic tank run off would feed a nice lawn or vegie garden etc.
I built one for my dogs (Beagles and Bull Arabs) (I have concrete, but at the ednge I have a gutter in the ground running to and IBC and 44gallon drum septic tank. Its been running for 6 years now without a problem and fertilises an awesome vegie garden and cherry tree. All I have to do is hose the concrete off into the gutter and it runs into the septic tank ( I try not to use too much water at a time though, dont want to flood it). Works a treat. (looks like you just have a couple of dogs so you could probably get away with something as simple as 1 44 gallon drum tank (2 drums would be better) and a 3m run off pipe. It really is not much digging (compared to digging a hole for an IBC!) and the system is worth the effort.

I'm from a long line of hound raising males. My uncle coon hounds,my grandfather birddogs,my daddy rabbit beagle's. Me I have hog and bear dogs all but two fox hound pups( need trained bad). You have some good looking hounds. I'm moving so new kennels have to be built along with me a new home.Im just on here looking for ideas to borrow. Lol. I've used concrete floored kennels for years. No more concrete unless a better faster easier cleaning video pops up. Take care,happy hunting. Thanks for sharing this idea.
