I'm in Mechanical Department, second year at IIT Ropar. I am interested in coding. Please explain how to get a CS job in detail, like internships after second and third years, what projects to do, preparation for interview, etc.
I always see IITans and Engineers talk about "how to get a JOB" in big companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart and so on BUT i have not seen much talk on starting companies like these OR even better than these companies, which is what our country needs right now. I am sorry if i am wrong but this is just my opinion.
Everyone have their own dreams and goals. What if someone is intelligent and capable of launching a startup that in future can be better than Google, but their priority is work life balance, health, family, society upliftment etc? Only those folks who are really passionate about it and ready to be patient will be able to do that, as converting startup to success is very time consuming, full of challenges. It might be rewarding at the end of it, or some folks might enjoy that but there are very few people like that. Out of such people, very few are blessed with skills to really beat something like Google, so yeah the probability that's why is very less.
Rachit Jain: Mark Zuckerberg once said "biggest risk in life is not taking any risk" 🙂. I am just saying we being Engineers should encourage our youth to become entrepreneurs (job givers) than job seekers. I am not saying each and everyone should do it at least 1 in 100. So much of hard work ... So much of knowledge from the brightest minds in our country is going to make some foreign company rich. What if we put the same amount of effort in working on our own ideas and changing this world for the good through technology. That is the actual meaning of Engineering. Not earning some bucks. End of the day no one cares about how much you earned. What you did to change this world is what matters.
Just because someone is an IITian it does not become their responsibility to mentor the youth. Why don't you take the risk? IITians work hard to get into IIT on top of that everyone everywhere in our country will say IITians should do this and that and they don't work for our county's progress... when they themselves sit around lazily doing nothing. You'll never find people in the US putting unreasonable responsibilities on MITians or Harvard students. Every citizen of the country can contribute what they feel is required. "Be the change you want to see".
Um from a tier 3 college My tbird semester examas are heading in 15 days I've wasted 1st year exactly how he said Ive done all the things he listed did data structures If you can reply to this comment . Should i spend my 4th semester doing projects on web dev or do competitive programming

Now, I feel like to finish my running NodeJS project and start competitive programming in 5th sem. Would it be too late to start to get internship/job in company like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc? Will my development experience help me in getting internship/job? I am from private infamous university..

I've given my Jan attempt and secured 95.5 percentile.
Sad , u need to concentrate more , 95.5 is'nt gonna do much ( advice from iitian ) , work hard for advance
Which college are you in?
Lol base salary maybe somewhat 12Lakhs...that is way too enough for me!....If I get 60,000 I will buy the things I like with loads of emi.....

Thnku very much!!
First of all it's great to hear from you that u r from cs background... well I can only ask for my weakness ie on completely DS and ALGORITHM... actually I think m not able to get these subjects...if u can make us understand both the subjects from any competitive exam point of view then I think it works out..😊
Watch video again. I am not from cs.

I remember 1 year ago when I had just entered First year, I had watched this video and it proved to be super beneficial. Now I have just entered 2nd year because of your tips, I have done the following things: 1)done hackerrank and currently 5 star in problem solving in 1-2 months i guess i'll get the 6th star. 2) Started web dev - made a college blog website and even a electric meter project which won 2nd prize in my college competition. Thanks for your guidance and this was the first video from which I started watching your channel and now after 1 year I am again watching this.
Also the electric meter project was a website with not a electrical project.
I have scored 95.688 in jee main march attempt and hoping 98%ile+
And I have just got to know. That in iit it doesn't matter if you had a Good branch but you should have a good college .IITR coming soon
I just complete the third season of F.R.I.E.N.D.S 😁😁😂😂

Thanks bhaiya...i just got admission in iitg mnc branch and was confused how to kickstart programming
Your video provider me with desired motivation..thanks
I am in my second year. Since first year, I am focused on development side like Android, ReactJS, React-Native. I was topper in java nptel exam though, but I didn't focused on DSA. Now, I feel like to finish my running NodeJS project and start competitive programming in 5th sem.
Would it be too late to start to get internship/job in company like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc?
Will my development experience help me in getting internship/job?
I am from private infamous university..
Bro i've the same journey like u!
