I love it how you are a vegan who actually eats fat! I feel so bad eating pb and flaxseeds on my morning porridge due to the whole strict hclf no natural fat cult but you are a really a good example of a truly nourishing and healthy vegan diet!
I love avocados and nuts WAY too much to restrict myself - which some won't agree with, but I've always eaten what I want, when I want in moderation and exercise regularly. IMO that's the most healthiest way to eat, I think restrictions are unhealthy :-) X
I used 1 teaspoon... it's a minuscule amount - I have no issues cooking with oil at all and olive oil or any other cooking oil wouldn't have given the same taste in this recipe. Coconut oil works best with the coconut milk and other ingredients in the Thai curry in my opinion. Each to their own, but I'm not one to freak out about coconut oil when there's no need to unless it's used in excessive amounts :-)
dont feel bad about it! your body needs a certain amount of fat (healthy, unsaturated fat). I used to restrict my fat intake and lost my period due to that, I finally managed to gain it back after more than a year by eating more fat :)
You are definitely the queen of vegan "What I Eat In A Day"s - absolutely love these videos, so inspiring to see what you create from scratch! If you ever wrote a cookbook I would buy it for sure! :)
I'm not even vegan and stumbled across your videos last week by accident and have become hooked. You have a gift for cooking and food presentation. I second Havva Oz's comment. You need to make a cookbook complete with photos. I had never even heard of Banoffe ( not sure I'm spelling it correctly) until seeing your videos. This breakfast looks absolutely delicious. If there is one person who could convince me to become vegan it would be you because you make the vegan lifestyle look so enjoyable and beautiful and fulfilling. I also appreciate your down to earth and calm demeanor and approach to cooking and sharing of your vegan lifestyle and story. Thank you. Please keep the videos coming. Do you have any special recipes for the upcoming Christmas season? If so, I can't wait!
I'm Every Mum I agree! It's my first Christmas this year as a vegan and I'm making Christmas lunch. I'm thinking of doing a nut roast (what a surprise haha!) Xx
You guys give me the best ideas! I'll do a 'Vegan Christmas Day Menu' after #VeganNovember but still in time for Christmas (and I'll most probably do a nut roast too, haha - but I think they're amazing!) X
JessBeautician I love them too! So hearty and delicious! There is a recipe on the BBC good food website for vegan Yorkshire pudding but not sure what they would like! xx
Great to know a homemade curry paste recipe! I find supermarket own brands are usually fish sauce free, or the green/red curry kits with the paste included. But that's probably not the case in Turkey!
Ooo yes I love the Sainsbury's own brand pastes - I think there's even one in my cupboard somewhere haha, I'll have to dig it out so thanks for the reminder ;-) Nope, no such thing as curry pastes... I found a Thai Green one in the 'World Food' section in the one supermarket where I can get nut milks etc. but it's so expensive! X
Hey Jess! You should definitely write a cook book, I admire your cooking and the way you present the food. I look forward to your videos every week. Keep it going, you're a true inspiration ❤️
Your videos are always a huge inspiration, I live in a small European country where there aren't any "exotic" things like curry paste or vegan premade stuff,so I often use your recipes and they turn out amazing everytime, thank you so much for sharing
Ah thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! I feel you, I live in Turkey and there are no vegan options here either or things like curry pastes, you have to make everything from scratch to eat vegan. I'm so glad you loved the recipes :-) X
Thank you for making these amazing recipes that I actually don't feel intimidated to make! Not only do they look yummy, original from other vegan youtubers, and visually stunning but you are so sweet in them❤️ I think we would all not only want to eat at your house but also have you as a friend😉 Your hard work editing and making these videos are such a blessing! Please keep up the good work and continue to make of these videos!!!
E book even- of all your most popular recipes - even better if you offer variations with each recipe. I find this option in recipes books sooo useful to vary choice and find a recipe that everyone can like and create!
Watching al your video's, I am always on the look for animal friendly food inspiration. Six years ago you where the best out there and you still are. You always have the best recipes. Thank you.😊
Jess, I truly enjoy watching your "what I eat in a day" videos as you are creative with what you make and I love the recipes. I loved VeganJune and am looking forward to VeganNovemeber. Keep the videos coming...great stuff!
Hi Jess, I recently discovered you through your What I Eat In a Day and I must say I am hooked. I marathoned through your weekly vlogs as well. I love your cooking videos and if you ever write a cookbook you will be the first youtuber I would buy from. Miss your weekly vlogs and hope they'd return. Keep up the good work.
Ah too kind, thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! The weekly vlogs may make a comeback one day - I need a new vlogging camera first though, haha :-) X
The living proof that vegan dishes can be incredibly appetising! I also want to say that I've made loads of your recipes and they all turned out amazing; they don't just look good. Bravo!
Ah thank you so much for the lovely comment! It's so true, vegan food doesn't have to be bland or boring - stick the word 'vegan' in front of almost any meal name/recipe and that's also proof we can still eat anything and everything ;-) X
These are my favorite what I eat in a day videos! I loooooove watching yours! I am curious if you have any yellow curry or panang curry recipes?? Your curry looks amazing!!!
Love the curry paste idea!!!! I've been looking at the store bought ones too but I just wanted to be able to make it from scratch I'm so gonna make this today!!!! 😊🔅🔆🔅🔆🔅
I'm so excited to try out these recipies! Since it's the weekend and I don't have much homework due Sunday, I can finally try out a few of your vegan recipies. I loved the video! Made a me hungry..seriously. :D
hello, ive watched ur youtube channel for a half year now. i live in Japan currently. in japan trying to be vegan is too hard. but when i see you on youtube living in Turkey really inspiring me. big thank you and lots of love
Ah I feel you, it's so hard to live a vegan lifestyle here too - but it's possible and luckily I can visit the UK often enough to restock on a few things. (I think I could live on vegetable alone sushi if I lived in Japan, haha!) Much love and thanks so much for watching :-) X
Which was your favourite flavour of avocado toast? And wow to those brocolli crisps 😲. I need to get some!!! Amazing creativity yet again with everything you have cooked. I love all of it!!! Great video.
I sooo want you to make a cook book dear 😍 your recipes are just soo innovative and new 😆 I love the idea of your sweet crunchy breakfast 😊 hope you're having a great day 😙
Love so so much your food videos..such a good inspiration for me..the recipes are looking extremely delicious and I am thinking seriously to change my lifestyle ..and this vegan recipes are the best solution..thank you so much for them..happy weekend :)
Ah you should definitely give it a try, even if you introduce it slowly - you wake up feeling amazing everyday plus it doesn't contribute to animal cruelty :-) Thank you for watching! X
You are amazing! So creative! I wish I could get my family to eat this way, my husband is such a meat & potatoes guy and my kids are picky :(. But I want to try to do some vegan for myself! Thank you for inspiring me! Everything you make looks so delicious & healthy!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! My fiancé is too - but since I'm the one that does all the cooking, he eats mainly vegan meals at home as I won't cook him anything using animal products (he totally has the choice if he wants to himself, haha but he'd often rather opt for the vegan option than to go to the effort of cooking!). I honestly think so many of these recipes could work for kids, even if they're picky - for example, the loaded nachos recipe in my last 'What I Eat' video would be great, so much fun, really colourful, delicious but healthy! X
hi jess, i thoroughly enjoyed your video and love the aesthetic of all of your videos! I was wondering where you purchased your beautiful wooden spoon from that you used for your morning banana banoffee bowl? Thanks x
Ah thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! I picked them up in a Turkish supermarket - I actually think they're baby feeding spoons, haha, but I've linked to something very similar from Amazon in the description box below the video :-) X
jess I keep meaning to ask you about your food processor. I have a nutri ninja and a separate Juicer which both need replacing. I was saving up for some sort of blender like a vitamix but they are out of my budget. what I wanted to ask is when you do Smoothies with dates does the one you use totally blend the dates up? and when you do your nice cream can you use the banana straight from the freezer whole? sorry lots of questions
Hi Chloe! I also wanted a Vitmamix but since I'm only living abroad for a short while, I thought I'd get a cheaper food processor as I'll be leaving it behind anyway - it does blend up dates, I also add a little hot water to make it smoother and yes, I use bananas straight from the freezer which I break up into bitesize pieces before they're frozen. It also comes with a blender and mini-chopper attachment too (I dropped my blender and broke it, hence making everything in the food processor now but it still does the job, haha!). I've had it for almost 2 years and it's been great - highly recommend :-) X
hey jess i really enjoy your what i ate in a day videos, i noticed you use quite a few products that are turkish brands actually, also you use tomato paste which i thought only people in turkey used, i just wondered if they sell many turkish products there
Please make a cookbook. Youre recipes are by far the best on youtube!
I would love this one day! I'm writing up my recipes as I go along, I'll see if it goes anywhere ;-) Thank you so much! X

nuts and seeds good , but that coconut oil .brrr.nothing good. Probably on skin but in the food , NO:) but I agree with healthy fats:)
I used 1 teaspoon... it's a minuscule amount - I have no issues cooking with oil at all and olive oil or any other cooking oil wouldn't have given the same taste in this recipe. Coconut oil works best with the coconut milk and other ingredients in the Thai curry in my opinion.
