it´s exactly the same with the Harmonica artists like Neil Young who used played harmonica in many of his songs, actually had around 5-6 different ones with him in his pockets on stage. so he could have one ready tuned in D & A & G & E & H you know when you fill up a glass with liquid and you can make it play a frequency by sliding your finger on it, that instrument is an extreme example of having your hands tied, since you can only play 1 single tone.
this is sunshine road remake, i think the reason he made this is to have an appealing song for the finals, because he already used sunshine road at the first audition
+Komo Van Bern With all these shitty pop tunes using the same 4 chords just different words and strumming i think this guy who clearly understands music theory to go beyon 4 flippin chords deserves a break. Hell those bastards dont even write their own music they pay someone to do what I could do no problem, or what any basic music student could XD

it´s because when u play slide guitar you tune the guitar in a chord. and he need to get creative to find other tuning setup´s where he can compose something. Your hands are very tied when u play slide guitar, this instrument is better suited for playing as a backing instruments during smaller portions of a track.
I like this guy, his tunes rock. Although this is the same tune as Sunshine Road...... Need to change up the tune..... It does have some different Riffs in it though.
And so he should!, those judges were plain wrong with their attitudes. If they know how to play the game, and I assume they do cos they are famous, then he should have been cut some slack...seriously...he doesn't know the game....YET :)...
