Her voice just seems...more natural here. Notice the absolute lack of complex choruses or voice replicas all over used to create an "otherwordly"/"surnatural" atmosphere in many of her other songs. She wasn't into that yet at that time, I'm guessing. AND IT IS STILL HEARTMELTINGLY GOOD.
Yeah, she really started to use that massively in RAKA. And it may be just me but I think she toned it down a notch in Turaida… At any rate, Navigatoria has a more… uncluttered feel because of that, which gives it a charm of its own. I still feel like her voice wasn't fully mature yet. It felt kind of weak at times when she had to sing high (not in that one, but in La Corolle for example).
Lyendith Yeah, it was beautiful, but if I had to describe it here, I'd say it was delicate and fragile but in her later albums her voice becomes undeniably powerful and resonating, and not just because of the crazy choruses.
KnotApps Hell, I actually find her voice more powerful when she doesn't use choruses, especially her deep voice. Mihatenu Chi he and Arabesque aren't among my favorite songs of her for nothing.
@M a r k There is a TH-camr who just makes shorts. The shorts involve him walking around his high-school asking fellow students questions. One of the questions he went around asking was "What song are you listening to".
