    2:28 Whilst that signal may have 3 lights, that doesn't make it a 3 aspect. It can only display 2 aspects - horizontal red and white or diagonal double white, if it is truly based on prototype signals. Essentially it can display a stop or proceed aspect. It's only a small point, but could be confusing if you use the term "3 aspect" in your advertising for this product.

    Hello, does the snap switch’s work with this mimic control ground signals? .. like the Atlas ?

    Nice idea
    But what do you do if you need connection wire longer than the short ones supplied?

    I have your kit to use for my acc bus and would like to get some subsidiary (ground) signals but it does not look as though you have the yellow/white type. Am l correct? Plus looking on the web it seems the hole drilled for the signal post is too small for the connecting plug to pass through. What’s the solution for that? Looks as though you don’t use collars.

      Hi,
      We do the red/green for UK and US prototypes plus three colour white/red for the UK and four light modern prototypes. There are no yellow/white types in our range.

      I was going to ask the same question, as I have a couple of locations on my layout where a yellow/white ground signal would be appropriate. Given the reply you have had, I am wondering how easy it would be to swap out the red led for a yellow one.

    Would this device work on a Tortoise Switch Machine instead of a Cobalt one? Really beginning to LOVE the solutions you guys are developing, hope it would work the same for a Tortoise switch machine, if so I'm going to purchase for my layout I'm going to build. Thank you!!

      The Alpha Mimic ground signals just mimic whatever accessory command is sent on the bus. So the signal on channel one will change when accessory one is changed, regardless of what that accessory is.

    Would be nice to get some of these in N Gauge!

      Much as we would LOVE to do this, it was already incredibly difficult to fit the circuit board into the OO and HO units. At the moment, with current technology, it just isn't possible. But we will continue to push the boundaries as much as we can!

      If accuracy of scale was not of paramount concern - what are the differences is the physical size of the HO version to what would be a N Gauge version? I.e. would the HO look absolutely wrong on a N Gauge layout?

    • @dccconceptsyoutube6446
      @dccconceptsyoutube6446  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GRUMP5B N is 2mm/foot whilst OO is 4mm/foot (HO is 3.5mm/foot). So it would be twice as large in each direction than it would theoretically be if to scale. It *may* however be possible to use the two aspect ones as signal heads, if you weren't bothered about them being entirely accurate, and you would just have to build up a signal for them to sit on.

      @@GRUMP5B I'd imagine it would. Look at the difference in size of rolling stock.. or even semaphore signals
