We'll go and I'll catch all the catfish and be happy as a clam..🤣..Great bass and really nice flathead! I'm thinking about coming up this weekend and fishing. I'll probably bass fish so I can move around and kind of get a lay of the lake. Great Video Dana!!
Don't forget to bring some topwater lures!
You know I’m not much for catching bass, but def been watching videos to work on my editing skills. Thanks for the great content and the hard work it takes to make these videos.
I like catching all species! Catching fish is the easy part, it's the editing that is so time consuming. Make sure you leave me some Stripers and thanks for watching!
@@FCPFishing yeah I see I could do a lil better with putting some words in, and maybe a better cover photo with the title or something.
@@Lakelanierstripersnipers The thumbnail is very important, as is the title. The algorithm is pretty tough to figure out.
Time to get to Cosco for carrots. This is why I head north as much as I can. Much cooler. They hit 80 up in northern New England and they are issuing heat warnings to the elderly. The new hooks worked! What brand? Owner?
I used Hayabusa Premium trebles. The owners bend too easily.
@@FCPFishing that’s what I use.
@@DpuckFishingandOutdoors I thought I remembered you mentioning them. So far, I like them.
Going to have to give Dana a new name catfish King
They won't leave me alone.
Great video Dana ! What hooks did you go to ?
I used Hayabusa premium hooks. I went with a 4 on the front and a 5 on the back. You have to be make sure that the lure is balanced or it won't work right.
@@FCPFishing Thanks Dana !
I swear I’m going to try the jig and fluke next time I’m out!
Highly recommended!
Hey Dana, what time do y’all normally try to get out on the water in the mornings?
I try to be on the water right at sunup. That first hour of daylight is usually the best.
@@FCPFishing appreciate it man, I think we’re gonna try and get out there early tomorrow morning before the heat!
@@aydno I might try to sneak out, but it's always a madhouse on a holiday weekend.
What kind of line do you throw your top waters?
I did a recent video titled "topwater tips" that explains everything. All of the "pro's" and "experts" say to not use fluorocarbon for topwater, but they are wrong. I use Gamma Fluorocarbon, 14 lb test. I suggest you watch the video, there is a lot of good info in bit.
What size hooks are you using on the popper
I used Hayabusa Premium hooks. I put a 4 on the front and a 5 on the back. You have to be careful to keep the lure balanced or it won't work right.
@@FCPFishing so are all poppers set up like that?
Love this! I have learned so much from just watching and observing your videos. I’m catching more fish and better quality ones. My pops caught a 4 lb largemouth a few days ago in super shallow top water.
I greatly appreciate the content and the tips here and there. Hope you’re having a blessed 4th!
Thanks! I'm glad my videos are helping!
Glad the new hooks are doing the job! You both caught some good fish!
Thanks 👍
Happy 4th Dana, great vid, the fish were hitting the topwater before you even move it, what a day of fishing, and Zane caught some good ones too, really enjoyed it Dana, THANKS 🎣
Thanks! You too! I love topwater fishing!

Thanks Carlos!
New subscriber here. I really enjoy your channel. I just acquired a kayak and will be fishing the north west side of Lanier. I’m new to spotted bass and stripped bass but have caught many largemouth bass when I lived in Florida. Thanks for sharing your fishing adventures! I’m looking forward to the next one.
Welcome aboard! The northwest side is a good area. This video was filmed over there. Good luck and thanks for watching!
As always, early is the key in the summer time. Thanks for posting!!!!
It's early all year round for me. The morning bite is always the best. Thanks for watching!
