BORN PINK album is indeed a new and experimental approach- at least for Blackpink. Sonically, it's different to THE ALBUM. For sure some people prefer the previous one because it's has more loud EDM instrumentals. However this album offers a fresh perspective from the girls, and their voices matures in this album even more🥰💕

For too long pop music (and I mean western too, maybe even especially) has given us short skirts, and unrequited love and called it girl power... I cant think of anything more empowering then 4 girls telling you where you can go and what you can do to yourself when you get there... Im almost hard pressed to call this kpop which makes me love it more. Never listened to their music before but now I am HEAR (see what I did there) for it.

personally i favor the first one....but i am glad they did not go the same route in the 2nd album...tho i really wanted more edm like the first one...but still im glad they balanced it out with some kind of emo songs....but we still got badasses songs...pink venom, tally, and typa girl....so fans like me still can appreciate it.
