Idk, about that scholarship student? What makes it convoluted for me is the fact that they participated in the rumors. That already makes you marginally involved. Obv they're valid for being mad about the exam scoring, but also participating in the rumors that involve minors being abused by authority figures? What makes it worse for me is the fact that they also easily dipped out of it when they could potentially help someone, as well. Not saying theyre the asshole, but they're not a saint either. Stories like these should at least make you reflect on how systemic abuse in institutions is very prevalent and normalized, and at least do your best not to take part in perpetuating that abuse. In simpler terms, if you can help it, don't involve yourself and end up making it worse.

i don't think this is really important in the discussion, but maybe just a bit perspective. the last story with professor b adding a minor in facebook. idk where that person lives but here in philippines, most of us have fb accounts, from kids to oldies. it has been part of our lives and as far as i know, it's quite normal for anyone to add whoever they know. students and teachers adding each other as friends was quite normal. and with the messenger app, i think it may even be beneficial even for communicating.

Quick backstory, my bio parents divorced and my bio dad as abusive as all hell, after they broke up my mom got with one of her close friends when I was around ten. (He knew about me and met me when I was ten as well) They started dating and eventually got married a few years later. Now, according to my younger brother my step dad (aka my brother's bio dad) dated a 16-17 year old girl (Kayla) when he was 25/26. And he was talking to her since she was around 14/15. They broke up before my mom met him. He didn't say anything at the time because he didn't know what to do about it. The reason why he told me was because I broke down and told him was his father was doing to me. For more context my stepdad has been r*ping me since I was thirteen/fourteen. I refused to tell my mom for years because she was happy and I was getting a bunch of gifts from the guy and because he was way nicer than my bio father. Both me and my brother accidently let it slip to my mom what he's been doing to me and we begged her to stay quiet. Since we don't want to tell our younger brother or my grandparents. I feel what Vanta said in my soul because the mess and drama it will cause will be hell, especially if I'm forced to deal with him legally. I already have restaining orders against my bio father and I really don't want to deal with court stuff again. It was bad enough when I was thirteen, and I'm just tired. A lot of stuff is already going to shit and I really dont want to add more to it since I'm about to be eighteen in less than two months. All I care about is getting out of highschool and living with my boyfriend and making sure my brother's stay out of the cross fire.
