Love that you included makes you updated. I think we all have projects laying around that need tweaking to be more wearable, it’s great to celebrate making those changes. Also love your Gilbert top!
Thanks, Kendra! It’s really become important to me to make sure my handmade wardrobe is truly wearable. It feels so good to improve on a piece, and refresh it!
Hi Lisa. Great review of your beautiful makes, and I am constantly amazed at what you are able to do with tiny scraps. Can't wait to hear your news, and hope you are enjoying the beautiful summer weather with your family.
With your chevron top, if removing the bra doesn’t give you enough room, this occurred to me. Maybe you can open the side seams and taper them to a v so it is open down the side? Like those loose athletic Ts? Then wear a tube top, or similar to give coverage? I hope I explained that clearly. I really love that multi colored viscose! You always do such an excellent job!
So fun! I appreciate your including tweaks to old items! Got to try some of that linen! I have a few linen items and I love how it wears but also how durable it is.
Fabulous makes, and updates :) Once I invest the time to make a pattern and it is ok but not good, I hate to just dump it, so I i will try anything to rework it . The fabric often will speak for itself, and you can get great results ! Gorgeous colours in your makes as well .
Hi Lisa, I’m always pleased when I see you have a new video. I love your style and appreciate your candidness. I still giggle every time I try to use less fabric, because you are the queen of using the least amount. Is Patroness both a magazine and a pattern business? I am unfamiliar with them! I watched you Lisa Kitsh videos regarding your Move to Spain. It was both interesting and informative. The visa sound like a nightmare, good for you figuring out and getting them. Guess what ? I started a sewing channel too! I’m having so much fun.
Good for you for starting a channel! I have subscribed. ;) Looking forward to seeing your makes! Patrones is a pattern magazine here in Spain. They have an app where you can download issues, and also some PDFs available for sale on their website.
I’ve been working with linens; one of my fav fabrics. Currently, the one I’m using is a bit sheet so I need a cami! I’m planning to make that too. I love the shirts you made and the red skirt! I need to work on dresses. I’m going to attempt shorts before I make pants. Thanks for all the inspiration! Cheryl
I love all your makes but I especially love that linen dress. I have some lighter blue linen that is a long time resident in my stash which I was wondering what to make. I had already bought the 430 issue of Patrones so perfect!!!
Very beautiful work, Lisa! Quick tip on softening linen: Whitney of TomKat Stitchery recommends soaking the linen yardage (or linen garment) in Coca-Cola and then washing it out. She says it softens up really nicely! (I will be trying it myself on a linen project later this summer.)
Lisa, I remember when you bought the fabric for the tiered dress. I just fell in love with it. I’m so glad you were able to get more wear out of the dress by cutting a tier off! I’m going to go through my makes this summer (1 more week of teaching here) with the goal of evaluating everything and reworking things that I’m not wearing. You inspire me.

Love that Evelyn skirt.
Isn’t it a great pattern?
Love your style so much Lisa, you are such a classy, elegant woman.🌹🌹🌹
Aw, thank you, Eileen!
Had lost you. So glad I hound you for this summer sewing special. Good job!
I’m glad you found me, Dorothy!
Fantastic Lisa.

Thanks, Polly- we are having a great time. Hope you are having lovely weather where you are.

Beautiful makes Lisa!! I love that white and grey striped fabric!!
Thank you! Yes, I was happy to find a use for that fabric that really highlighted the stripes.

So true! It’s wonderful.
I like your idea of using a knit for the bra part…. Will be interesting to see what you end up with
Yes, I’m quite torn!

It always feels good to make it work!
@@Lisamakes You have a troll replying to my comment. Just so you know I have never dealt with this person James Thomas
Thanks, Nancy. Deleted!

Cheryl
Yes, shorts are great practice. Less fabric to maneuver, and lower risk.
You must feel very accomplished! Beautiful garments that look great on you.
Thank you! They were all really fun makes.
Love your makes. They look good on you. I especially love the solid blue linen dress and the French inspired skirt.
Those are two of my favourites, too.

Oh, super! Enjoy!
Looooove your French vibe skirt! And the clever use of scraps for underwear. Congratulations and enjoy!
Thank you! I’m so happy with the skirt- more on the horizon!
Love your makes!
Thanks, Janet!
Try the striped halter top with a knit bra. It will be more comfortable.
Lovely makes! I just made the Peppermint shorts😁
How did they turn out for you? I want another pair, knee length.
I like a lot all your makes Lisa, as always perfect sewing and beautiful selection of fabrics
Thank you so much!

Yes! That’s exactly the method I want to try. So funny, right?
Well done Lisa. Really wonderful makes.
Thank you!

Thank you, Denise! Good luck with your last week of school. I’m glad you’re going to re-evaluate your handmade wardrobe. It’s such a valuable process!
Nice work Lisa🧵
Beautiful makes thank you for sharing.
My pleasure 🥰
I like the plaid shirt and the navy linen set. If you get a chance, can you put the link to the linen fabric? Thanks.
Thank you for the reminder! I’ve added it to the description box. ;)
It would be good if a pattern designer could make a pattern for a bra insert for our home made clothes.
True! Great idea.
Ines did a range for Uniqlo I don’t know if she is still doing it.
I’ll have to take a look! There’s a lot of her deadstock on The Fabric Sales’ website.
What? Soaking fabric in Coca Cola softens stiff fabrics! Tell more or share a link. ✌Field of Dreams dress just went on my to make list💋
Yes! Apparently you soak it in full sugar Coke for a few hours, and then wash as normal. Works for denim, too!
I wish I felt comfortable without a bra but I don't like the point loo
It definitely depends on your comfort level!
