Ghana Standards Authority to step up enforcement of ban on Second-hand undergarment trade.

  • The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) says it will assign 200 standard trading officers across the country to monitor and apprehend traders dealing in sub-standard and banned goods on the market next month.
    The Authority in 1994 banned the importation and sale of secondhand goods, which include panties, braziers, handkerchiefs and singlets in the country under the Legislative Instrument (LI 1586).

    Seriously 🤔 It's called Supply & Demand... Why are Ghanaians interested in buying second hand panties?? Bras I can understand a bit cause they are expensive but panties... The government should supply their women with bras or atleast affordable bras. That makes more sense than having a unit to go and hunt down businesses selling these products
