I watched this and it was extremely funny At first I was thrown off cause I though I was supposed to take it sorta seriously *But it almost never was* It was pretty sweet, I thought the ending was pretty confusing though and maybe a *bit* unnecessary Not that I didn’t appreciate it, just I think the story could have been fine wether it did or didn’t have it
The people in the underworld didn't send the girl back because the world was getting destroyed, they sent her back because they realized who she was related to. The hints they drop for who she's related to are pretty obvious given her family name and the name of her family's company and the absolute panic of the people in the underworld.

@@JesusFreak98 To be completely fair, I don't think he even has descendants canonically since he becomes the virtuous fighting buddha at the end of Journey to the West and Buddhist monks aren't exactly the kind to go around marrying and having kids. However, if he did have kids, I'd assume he'd probably throw a bunch of forms of immortality at them so they never die since as the virtuous fighting buddha, I'd assume getting immortal peaches or immortality pills aren't exactly that difficult for him. Not to mention he could also teach them how to cultivate to be immortal like him as well. I think the only immortality method he can't get his descendants would just be crossing out their names in Yama's ledger like he did since he's probably too mature to go jumping into hell to do that.

This guy sounds just like a proper world guardian. A being granted great powers over reality to maintain it, and ate generally quite annoying and sometimes boring to be around. Their goals can very to almost anything depending on what needs to happen, but generally stick to similar tactics, like mind wiping.
I can't recommend this anime enough. It's so funny and also has so many twists and turns that surprise me with how well it's written. I wish it were longer tbh
