What Ubi needs to fucking do is ban players based off of stats. After 20-30 games, a player who has a 3+ KD is obviously a cheater. A few days back I ran into someone who had a 5.28 KD in RANKED. This player was literally getting aces before they were being killed. In my match they were blatantly shooting people through the floor. They also had like an 8 KD in standard. Of course it was a new account, only having stats for the past 2 seasons, and I bet their ranked KD was only as low as it was because of other cheaters they encountered. Honestly if Ubi cant even ban off of stats, then there is no hope for the AI that they want to introduce to detect cheaters. They either need to crack down the the cheating services (and boosting) or ban players based off of stats. Yeah Ima have to disagree, back in like year 3, the best dude in my 5 stack had a 3.14kd on a level 300 account, granted we were top level diamond players (before champ) so theres that but still.
@@johndevin1193 As a software developer - you can 100% filter out a lot of the most blatant cheaters with a very simple ML model that is based around in-game stats. Runescape is currently using this method to detect botters tmk. Why do you think it's not a good thing to do? You can determine where pro-players play statistically and use them as a baseline. If someone has played 300 matches and has a 5+ KD - and that's 2.5 higher than the best pros: the odds that their stats are legit will include enough zeros behind a dot to not need wallhacks to see. The option to automatically ban and manually review isn't the issue here, it's detection. They shouldn't be relying solely on player reports, that's proven to be a losing strategy. CS:GO pro players were in the 1.2-1.6 KD rate and anyone with like 3 or higher can almost immediately be ruled out as a cheater after 100 matches.
@@johndevin1193maintaining a 3.0 KD or higher is impossible in ranked unless you’re cheating. Because you shouldn’t be outgunning 3 players in your own rank realistically. The average KD is around a 1.5 - 2.0 for even the top ranked players that don’t elo trap. Why? Because even the best players will die to random shit like wall bangs, random C4s, timed C4s, and most commonly cheaters using spinbot/aimbot. You can’t maintain a 2.0 KD vs blatant cheaters, without cheating yourself. Stat bans within reason are fine, because after 50 matches you should be in or close enough to your average rank to lose more gunfights and balance out the inflated stats from the beginning of the season. I was under the impression that was what Ranked 2.0 was supposed to do but obviously it’s just another Ubi flop
Who you play with also determines your K/D and win ratio too. That dude that was bronze to silver wasn’t sus. I’ve done that by just changing up who I 5 stack with. Teammates can help you get in better positions to get kills just by cutting off rotations.
@@notksiolijadebt6558Uhh what..? i 100% still stand firm with my comment 💀. If I have a solid 5 stack that knows how to play like a team my KD can increase exponentially just based off of them staying alive, cutting off rotations, pushing at the right times and knowing when to play time vs getting aggressive.. Playing with a random 5 stack can absolutely tank your KD and W/L just based off of them dying super early and leaving you in 1-5 scenarios.
Console player here 9:24. Just last season along despite having a stack and constantly playing with them, I in my reputation reports had voice chat as my most common report. as someone who has been playing this game for about 7 years, its getting bad, the cheaters are constant but its not that part thats annoying, its the fact that the cheaters are less aware of how to actually play the game. the game doesnt play as it should at high ranks. it plays like a copper match with everyone running around with no clue how to actually play the game.
wont do a thing, they should add an overwatch feature like csgo had. I'd spend a day out of my week watching games and reporting players only problem is Ubisoft dont seem to do anything even if people get reported
That's a crazy take 💀. I don't think anyone would pay 10 bucks to play a game they payed for, and if cheaters could buy cheats what's stopping them from paying 10 buck
“Hey guys, here’s a good idea to get away from cheaters, let’s throw more money at Ubi so they can keep not fixing the issue and make a new matchmaking playlist that definitely won’t still have cheaters fr fr.” Bruh like, what?
I saw a video months ago maybe even a year ago about how AI can be used to tell someone is cheating based on a lot of little things. Ubi can for sure afford even better AI and use it to find and ban cheaters in real time.
Yeah same lol. And it was someone who was silver with a .5kd last season and they just magically become champ with a 1.7kd. Crazy how Ubisoft sees stats such as this one and doesn’t think they’re suspicious.
7:20 Premium matchmaking wouldn't stop cheaters as they already pay for cheats, would just create a matchmaking divide, could ban matchmaking by card potentially, but then you can't buy the game as a gift idk. Alternatively, soft banning cheaters into their own separate matchmaking might make cheaters stick to those lobbies, instead of buying up new accounts, I don't know how well it works in practice.
Varisty if ur seeing this, theres been leaks of a subscription service for siege right when the year 9 Szn 1 leaks came out, it said 9.99 usd for the leak but unfortunately whether its for better matchmaking or if its similae to fortnite crew and its just a well made skin each month for an operator is unknown
it’s crazy a player just looks good, isn’t sus in the slightest, has good stats, and is ranking up normally, is banned, but a player who played 700 games with aimbot isn’t banned like 😭 the inconsistency and incompetence is CRAZY.

7:22 Cheating in CS is at an all time high even with Prime Status, my cousins, friends and I encounter a cheater every 3 games and on some days we encounter cheaters every other game and all of us but 1 friend has Prime and most of the time the 1 friend of ours that doesn't have Prime plays with us at least 1 time a week, sorry Varsity but using CS as an example doesn't validate your point but I give you props for putting thought and effort into coming up with a solution
ive cheated in cs in hvh lobbies and I can assure you that people get banned quickly its just a free game and people can refund prime so cheating is going to happen

ip ban isn't viable since carriers, like verizon, xfinity, starry, uses dynamic ip, which means every time you reconnect to their service (reboot modem or modem router 2 in 1), your carrier will assign a new ip(WAN ip, this word is not accurate) to you. If you banned a old ip, another user might use your old ip to log in siege. They will got banned.
It would be horrible to implement what I call a "pay to matchmake" system into a competitive game like siege. I love R6 but the cheaters are so bad rn, but I just started playing CS with my friends who said it was great since siege is in a bad state rn. So I tried it, and EVERY SINGLE GAME we have had multiple cheaters in each, even in competitive with the 15 dollar prime matchmaking. I don't like the thought of having to pay to matchmake when the best solution would be Ubi to actually implement something like what valorant has, but they won't because their game is kept alive by cheaters buying cheap accounts all the time it seems 😂😂
valorant uses a kernel based anti cheat. a lot of people don't like it because to play the game you have to allow the game to check your files for any third party software, also inaccurate as apps like icue can be detected as a cheat software.
@@intervention704 been playing valorant since beta, ive used single player cheats for stuff like rdr2 or the forest with vanguard open and never got banned or anything and I believe icue can be seen as an advantage because of the macros.
brother what i have been playing for so long and i’m still not level 200. and paying for better lobbies just to play ranked is wild. they should just have a better anti cheat system. that’s it.
I’d love to see Ubisoft to make a server only for cheaters. Instead of getting banned, the system puts the cheaters on the same server, which doesn’t allow them to change it in any ways. Some games are punishing cheaters this way, would be amazing to see ubisoft do this, but I guess it would be very difficult.
Thanks to siege, I’ve found I’m a huge fan of cyberpunk 2077. Spent hours in that game and paid full price for the dlc. Shame they won’t be supporting it anymore and are working on the sequel instead. Could have milked alot more money from it.
Or just plan and simple run the files on every start up, if their is any tweaks to the files or outside files attached to game start up the game crashes everytime.
I appreciate the dedication devs have to this game. Rather than come out with the same COD every year or so. But they need to release a new game to introduce/update a new anti cheat. Love this game but man I think it’s time to say goodbye.
I think that Ranked should just be unlocked at level 100. Because 1. Ranked is congested with low levels that dont know how to play. 2. Level 100 will make account selling a lot more tedious.
Honestly, this game died to me the second Xim showed up. It seems like their system, as you pointed out before rely on systems to be endlessly updated to keep cheats out of date, and easily detectable. But what happens when the only major cheats hackers are keeping up to date are walls and aim assist. Depending on the interval the systems update to keep cheats out of sync. It would be very very easy for cheaters to keep at least those two cheats available if theg purely focus on them. As I know it as well, cheating in siege is insanely lucrative for those selling them, getting hundreds of thousands of dollars a day from people who are desperate or dumb enough to buy into it, thus making it worse. But generally, if sieges new system relies on detecting out of date cheats, then its not very hard for those selling them to keep the most lucrative and sought after ones up to date. At this point, the only way to remove them permanently would be to implement intrusive software into peoples pcs like many games are doing nowadays, in order to detect them. Since cheats are an invasive tool that essentially hacks into the service, the only way to detect it is to have an equally invasive thing to fight back. Least, thats what an old retired hack and cheat developer friend I know said. (For reference he did a lot of stuff in the past, and got tired if not began having it weigh on him (because unlike other cheaters he has a heart). So he gave up working with such tech. Especially since from what he says, it makes you a massive target on a radar for those who want to use you as a testbed for their newer and fancier tech)
Siege needs an Overwatch system like CS:GO had. As long as they put effort into the replay system, it's more than doable, I swear Ubisoft is capable enough to manage it, they've shown they're good at things when they put effort into it.
Level 200+ just to play ranked is probably the dumbest possible "solution" I've heard. What they need to do is actually make the report button work and not have it just for show. Someone shouldn't be getting reported in every match and NOT have it flag something. It also doesn't help that unless you're a content creator your report is essentially worthless.
ranked full of cheaters, standard full of cheaters, quick play full of cheaters. ranked 2.0 hidden mmr means that i get matched against cheating champions every game because i achieved diamond 1 time. its a joke and its just unfun to play this game anymore. even being in copper every single game on ranked are diamonds blatantly cheating and i don't understand why i never get matched against my own rank since ranked 2.0 dropped. its a joke.
Don't worry, the devs are doing their best, they are really passionate about what they do, you just gotta believe in them (me when I lie on the internet)
my idea on wht ubi should do abt cheaters is to add a report system kinda like surrender 3 people from both teams has to vote for the game to end no one loses elo and ubi can review the match and accused cheater, prob would make it so if people did cheat they would have to play in stacks which could help get other accts banned and boosted accts
yes but it doesn't cancel on match point, just so people cant be in 1vx on a ot match point and then just accuse someone of cheating just to not lose elo
Don’t know what it was, but I also got a stupid amount of cheaters in standard yesterday but I payed attention to the ban popups they all did get banned, none in ranked through so my guess is a cheat did a free weekend
Doesn't make sense that someone who's already paying for cheats would stop spending money right before the matchmaking payment to get juicier lobbies. If Ubi can't ban cheaters effectively, hopefully the reputation system will work half as well as GTAVs did, then the cheaters can all play w each other and leave everyone else alone. Also if I'm Ubi my first move is to offer you a paid position to do hacker replay more often and hand you a banhammer, at least it'd be good PR even if you can't get to very many individual cheaters in a timely manner
It’s alright guys, none of these people are cheating - they just have a really good headset that picks up every bit of sound and a gaming chair so powerful that as they lean back their mouse just so happens to move onto enemy players. I must admit though I hate these cheaters because it’s impossible now whether to work out if you died because you are worse or just because they can see you through a wall.
how is the f2 bad i havent played r6 in years i just got back into it and i can control the recoil pretty ok i would like to know why you believe the f2 is bad
The acog scope is meant to give you an advantage over long range, since your targets head will be bigger. The F2 with an acog is so inconsistent and wild over long range, that the dmr is a better choice by far.
My mates been playing for 3 years and cheating with ESP and he’s got about 700 hours and hasn’t been banned. I think its legitimately using game sense (without looking through walls) whilst using ESP
A lot of cheaters in quick play, apparently. I played quick match all day the other day and ran across cheaters every few games. Watched back the replays, and they were typical cheaters like we see here a lot. Trying to hide it but catch them tracking through walls and sprinting around without care until they come across someone holding an angle.
The fact that you and Evan even considered having a sort of premium matchmaking system is a little scary. I’m for sure not going to let Ubisoft start robbing me again. How about they step it up or we stop playing the video game?
I haven't followed Siege in well over a year and popped back in recently.. I remember I used to watch this series because it was fun detective sleuthing, now it's just sad. Like these are so blatant you can tell right off the bat and there isn't even any investigative work required.
I think the only way to deal with cheats is when you sign up with your account you use two different types of id and pay £30 to £50 for every account and if you stop playing you get the money back and if you get band you lose it and you can’t sign back up with your name and address no more.
the mechanics in the game are way to advanced to learn as a newcomer; as well as callouts, map layout, etc... so to skip having to learn, people cheat. plus compare siege now to 2 years ago with the amount of maps and mechanics and runouts and competitiveness of the game. For new players its harder to do it all and get a good rank. hence cheaters. Its the same reasons people cheat in other comp games. I'm not saying that they're good reasons, but they are the reasons.
@@intervention704 Yeah I understand but it still seems stupid. You're purely ruining your own experience by hacking in these types of games imo. There are games like Tarkov where it "makes sense" because of rmt and such but I still think that's insane but there's money involved.
I love being reported as a non cheater. It’s a great compliment. (I get reported for griefing for killing my teammates. I can’t control my aim. I’m console)
The ximmers and cronus users have gotten pretty bad on console, too. I started playing this game again months ago and recently started noticing mnk users and players using cronus scripts for zero recoil and aim assist. I've been consistently gold for my time playing r6, and I know when something isn't right, especially since I've played r6 for 7+ years, and my first time playing was back in 2016. It's gotten so bad for console, once you hit gold, because then you get into lobbies with the plats and emeralds, and Champs using mnk and that's all it is
I think putting people's accounts on hold until they can be manually analyzed wouldn't work because people like beaulo would never get to play and would hurt their most dedicated player base.
Varsity, thats not how IP addresses work with IPV6 which is the most commone version of the protocol, also, MAC addresses are also incorporated with the IPV6 system. U can't jus restart ur router and get a new IP, legit just reset ur router and check again, same IP
tbh it doesn't matter if you change ur ip or hardware id bc you will all ways be found if it's one thing i learn from rust is that if you cheat you will ruined your chance of playing that game anymore
ubisoft should do the overview system csgo had or still has where trusted people content creators and so on can review matches and send the reports in as they watch them
I agree. In the 1st match, they were most likely cheating, but I don't fully agree with the stats would mean they are cheating. Even a new player could get a high k/d ratio if they have played other shooters like cod. Point and clicking isn't hard after you play a few shooters. Map knowledge is the thing that holds people back.
Ubisoft just needs to develop a proper anti-cheat like Vanguard or Zblock. At this point, I don't really care how intrusive they are, Valorant and FaceIT have very, very few cheaters
I feel like mobile authentication would be helpful. Because the only people who don't have phones are like 12 which is against Ubi TOS. (im pretty sure)
last guy wasnt cheating, his stats probably got him banned and saw he was consistently a high KD and rank so they banned him off of that, hes just a good diamond/champ player
At this point, games that have a competitive scene to ban cheaters by any means necessary. It needs to be so much stricter. This kind of behavior kills games. Of course it doesn’t help Ubi killing it too.
They should make a bot to detect how much times someone’s been reported and after a certain amount of reports it auto checks stats and if they have a sus headshot, win,kd it should ban them
I thought the last guy just looked good as well. I feel like that may have been a Ubi reviewer mistake. I can't do what he does in Siege, but back in the day that was me in CS and everyone thought I cheated. I wish it showed whether the ban was manually reviewed or not. If he did have a hack, I'd suspect an auto-trigger, possibly walls if he's incredibly good at hiding it.
Bruh I just got banned for 48hrs for leaving a standard game that had a cheater in it, I'd like to add that it's the first time I've left a match in like a few months
Face it needs to be more mainstream on r6, I played premier on cs2, still got dogged on by blatant cheaters. I played faceit for the better part of a year and only encountered 1 cheater
You're pretty spot on, IP addresses are dynamic meaning they can be changed depending on your ISP but also VPNs will mask your host IP with another IP given by your VPN service. The level 200 is a really good idea. There is no way Ubisoft doesn't know about every single cheater on the game. If their battle eye is any good then it should be easy to detect the cheats by buying them and seeing where they're stored, what resources they take, and what it looks like on the system. This tells me they're obky banning a minimal amount of people so they don't kill off their player base maybe? But they would just return as normal players. Video proof can be good but it would have to be super obvious, if you watch a non cheated you'd see just how suspicious everything is. The main thing besides clear as day walling is their recoil and aim accuracy is how I know they're cheating. I know what the average player looks like and a pro stat wise. Also don't go by reports, half our player base is immature kids. Of you remember when they had vote to kick option it was wildly abused for nefarious purposes. HWID may be spoofable but it's detectable
Battleeye is trash and can be bypassed, meaning turned off, meaning useless. They don't want cheaters to return; the game is 4$ there's nothing to do to stop this, and that's definitely a loss monetarily. Identifying cheaters is fairly easy but expensive and the community does well enough at it to have 6 videos on this one channel each week. Spoof means providing a fake but valid response, if it's detectable; it's not a spoof.

It also just so happens that battleye's HWID collection is pathetic compared to EAC.
@unearthlynarratives_ I concur, they are faced with what every other company is faced with. An ethical dilemma, make cheating 0 tollerance and ban what is probably 60% of our player base. In hopes that they return as normal players. Thus keeping the game integrity and profits. Or let them cheat and ban a small group here and there, maintaining profits and not risking the game. There is only one correct answer here and it's what every game has yet to accomplish.

That's not a good thing to do. What they should do is to make a team that actively review reported matches.
@@johndevin1193having above a 5 K/D is clearly a cheater and if they’re not cheating, they’re a smurf so banning solves the issue.

Just stop saying the N word, bro. It's not rocket science.
as someone who has been playing this game for about 7 years, its getting bad, the cheaters are constant but its not that part thats annoying, its the fact that the cheaters are less aware of how to actually play the game. the game doesnt play as it should at high ranks. it plays like a copper match with everyone running around with no clue how to actually play the game.

I submitted a replay a few days ago with 2 cheaters over 500 matches each. It’s actually insane that blatant wallhacks isn’t detected.

Adnan got banned a while ago and oz zo is still not even banned a whole MONTH later we love Ubisoft

I would like to see a matchmaking filter where you can set the minimum level 50-100-150-200-250-300 for your matchmaking based on your and your mates levels.

thats steams issue tbh. the account gets banned within 2 days the person just refunds the prime and goes again with a new account
Hackers spending 10$ a day on cheats don't care about 10$ a month for better queues.
ive cheated in cs in hvh lobbies and I can assure you that people get banned quickly its just a free game and people can refund prime so cheating is going to happen

Ubi will never have humans review games on a serious level, way too expensive.

ip ban isn't viable since carriers, like verizon, xfinity, starry, uses dynamic ip, which means every time you reconnect to their service (reboot modem or modem router 2 in 1), your carrier will assign a new ip(WAN ip, this word is not accurate) to you. If you banned a old ip, another user might use your old ip to log in siege. They will got banned.
When I started the video the playback speed was at 2x and I honestly thought varsity was just speaking that fast
I quit cs because of that and came to siege but also cause cs2 is a worse product than cs go, but i stg I can't escape cheaters
brother what i have been playing for so long and i’m still not level 200. and paying for better lobbies just to play ranked is wild. they should just have a better anti cheat system.
To translate the intro Ubisoft keep castle barricading you in the objective
im currently D3 and have been playing since start of this season and the cheaters are wild havent seen any mmr back even a month after season start
Sorry, Ubisoft isn't really know for putting effort into anything anymore, gotta milk them elite skins.
Alright Ubisoft just give varsity gaming ban controls
0:09 im getting out of 1st grade
Level 200+ just to play ranked is probably the dumbest possible "solution" I've heard.
What they need to do is actually make the report button work and not have it just for show.
Someone shouldn't be getting reported in every match and NOT have it flag something.
It also doesn't help that unless you're a content creator your report is essentially worthless.
ranked full of cheaters, standard full of cheaters, quick play full of cheaters. ranked 2.0 hidden mmr means that i get matched against cheating champions every game because i achieved diamond 1 time. its a joke and its just unfun to play this game anymore. even being in copper every single game on ranked are diamonds blatantly cheating and i don't understand why i never get matched against my own rank since ranked 2.0 dropped. its a joke.

my idea on wht ubi should do abt cheaters is to add a report system kinda like surrender 3 people from both teams has to vote for the game to end no one loses elo and ubi can review the match and accused cheater, prob would make it so if people did cheat they would have to play in stacks which could help get other accts banned and boosted accts
yes but it doesn't cancel on match point, just so people cant be in 1vx on a ot match point and then just accuse someone of cheating just to not lose elo
I surprisingly met my first cheater in quick match today, and they lagged the whole match when they were found cheating lol
7:15 Evan's suggestions seems cool, but level 150 should be enough
You could add the premium matchmaking into the battlepass
My mates been playing for 3 years and cheating with ESP and he’s got about 700 hours and hasn’t been banned. I think its legitimately using game sense (without looking through walls) whilst using ESP
The cheater issues on this game reminds me of going to work.
oh hell nah I ain’t paying 10 bucks for that, especially with the membership that just came out 😭😂
Need to have a software embedded in the download folder that constantly scans for cheats
I’ve looked myself up on stat tracker in r6 an it says the wrong stats
The last guy had no recoil at all. I'm not great at recoil control to really confirm that but at ×0.25 the gun was not going up at all.
I always question why people cheat. I understand there's always loads of reasons but it always seems so stupid to me.
the mechanics in the game are way to advanced to learn as a newcomer; as well as callouts, map layout, etc... so to skip having to learn, people cheat. plus compare siege now to 2 years ago with the amount of maps and mechanics and runouts and competitiveness of the game.
7:25 I'd be way more upset about cheaters in my game if I was paying to skirt them and they still show up.

Most likely? Girl…
They should make a bot to detect how much times someone’s been reported and after a certain amount of reports it auto checks stats and if they have a sus headshot, win,kd it should ban them
List of most incompetent game developers (not ranking them bc they're interchangeable imho):

I thought the last guy just looked good as well. I feel like that may have been a Ubi reviewer mistake. I can't do what he does in Siege, but back in the day that was me in CS and everyone thought I cheated. I wish it showed whether the ban was manually reviewed or not. If he did have a hack, I'd suspect an auto-trigger, possibly walls if he's incredibly good at hiding it.

You're pretty spot on,
IP addresses are dynamic meaning they can be changed depending on your ISP but also VPNs will mask your host IP with another IP given by your VPN service.
@@kaziem >Battleeye is trash and can be bypassed, meaning turned off, meaning useless - Every anti-cheat is bypassable, some are harder than others, it's unfortunate R6 went for battleye which is far inferior to EAC.

>Spoof means providing a fake but valid response, if it's detectable; it's not a spoof. - HWID spoofers are still detectable and can be a banning vector, a lot of the HWID querying APIs used in windows are hooked and will be instantly flagged if you try to call it resulting in your newly generated HWID and account being banned, of course providing its done correctly, your real HWID will be safe.
There is only one correct answer here and it's what every game has yet to accomplish.

idk how you couldn't tell the last person was cheating, the reason he wasnt pushing in the round he saved was because the 2nd attacker alive was to far away from mont. for him to kill without giving mont. his back.
I think it was a diamond player with cheats to be honest. He was good mechanically, knew the map, but the subtle giveaways was the reaction time and timings of his pushes. Too perfect, and I guarantee the reason he was banned was because of how consistent it was through all his matches. If I had to guess probably a DMA user closet cheating with walls.
