    D-Brand gives full coverage even with a Latercase.

    I experienced the same screen protector issue with the same brands… very odd. Thanks for the video.

    100% agreed. Those are the two that I've used on my P9PF as well.

    I'm pretty sure Spigen have released an updated screen protector.
    I had it in my Amazon basket for a few weeks then when I was about to order the listing showed it wasn't available to order anymore.
    Instead I searched for it and a new listing came up with no reviews yet so took a punt on it, hoping it was a quietly updated version they'd listed to distance themselves from the poorly reviewed first one with the peeling corner.
    Lo and behold I've had it on for about 3 weeks now and there's been no peeling and no shifting.
    I'm using it with the Spigen Slim Armor Pro and there's an equidistant 1mm gap all the way around between the protector and the front part of the case.

    The super shield screen protector is the one I use and it has been great. It's been one of the go-to screen protector companies that I've used for many years with my smartphone devices. I highly recommend it. Thanks for the video Shane.

    Using a Zagg XTR3. Expensive but no issues, free replacements and also harder to break than other brands. I actually preordered the DBrand screen protector but it didn't ship until after I received the P9PF. Ordered the Zagg once I knew I wasn't going to receive the DBrand in time and had it before I received the phone. Now the DBrand will be a backup.

    I just looked for my remaining screen protectors and I also have the Super Shieldz. It was working fine until about a couple weeks ago.

      @@srdurrett I also have the LaterCase and its screen isn't centered. Touches one edge of the Zagg XTR3 screen protector pushing it making it slightly come up or bubble. I kept pushing it back down every day or so until I received the fixed ThinBorne case.

    each time applying screen protector i use hair dryer, after i apply screen protector on to my screen. So that heat helps screen protector sticks to my phone screen better. And my pixel 9 pro fold screen protector is spigen and no issue :)

    Since I made the switch to foldables, I started using Armor Shield anti-glare matte film on both the outer and inner screens for all of my devices. I have it on the Open, the Z Fold 6 and the 9 Pro Fold. I hate the installation process of using film. It's really a pain in the ass. But the end product is great. Far less glare and fingerprints.

    Ah, so I'm not going crazy. The bottom of my Caseology screen protector did shift to the right.

    I also find it difficult to find a food screen protector for mine. I prefer a matte finish, for one from Amazon and it's trash. I will def consider these options.

    I have the prism 2 screen protector and I use the latercase front and back case and I haven't had any issues with both of them. My biggest complaint relates to the screen protector and using sunglasses

      I was hoping someone would chime in with this.
      I've just bought the Latercase with their BF discount - does the front cover go over the screen protector/meet it exactly/leave a small gap between protector and cover? I'd personally want to minimise dust build up.

    I would love the dbrand screen protector and back skin but my only problem with rocking the phone naked is I find the sides of the phone slippery and have hard times getting a grip to open it to tablet mode.

    Can't understand the need for a screen protector these days. I haven't used one for years and it never gets scratched. I wonder what people do with their phones to feel the need for a screen protector. Actually wouldn't mind a matte screen protector to reflect light if you can find one? That's good. I think this would tempt me.

    • @shanecraigtech
      @shanecraigtech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would bet that if you grabbed 100 naked phones at random 99 of them would have scratches lol. Even with my phone in a pocket by itself, it still can happen. It's no super common for me anymore, but it does still happen.

    • @SuperDarktide
      @SuperDarktide 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @scaryifliteral yeah I guess I just look after my phone pretty well. I do always use a case though.
      I had the s24 ultra not a scratch on it for four months before I just switched to p9pf. Make a matte screen protector video. It's the only thing I miss from the 24 ultra.

      While I'm like you and the day I trade my phones in they are in pristine and perfect condition, screen protectors are more for piece of mind for me. Like I'll peel mine off every once in a while because like you I've gone naked screen on some phones, the Galaxy ultras in particular specifically when they had those curved displays, and I've never had a scratch on them. And I was rocking the P9P Fold without a screen protector for a while, I felt a bit paranoid because I started noticing that when tapping on that screen it felt like it was hollow back there that felt concerning to me. So a little protection just in case seemed like a good idea.

    I have the OG Fold, and using the same brand cheap tempered glass screen protector for the front screen from Amazon. I like that the protector is just shy smaller, as I use a case for mine. The bezels of the front cover just "misses" the edges of the screen protector. Now I use multiple cases, depending on my mood, and the bezels just doesn't interfere with screen protector. So far, never lifts up, and been using the first glass since day 1 for the past year. Don't know if it really means anything, but that is my 2 cents on this topic.

    Thank you for the video on screen protectors. I did not know which one to purchase. I went with Google screen protector on your site. I like the ease of installing that one. Are there screen protectors for the inner screen when you open up the phone? Really learned a lot on your channel and really appreciate you. Thank you.

    Dbrand's screen protector suffers from the bubbling problem with the mous case. Both outer corners are lifting even if I used the 3dMark heating trick. Without the Mous case, it'll probably work just fine

      @shanecraigtech will try the supershieldz but might get the ghostek covert case first to test the dbrand screen protector or it's probably just the mous case

    Is battery life good for you-all, or am I doing something wrong? I've had the phone for over a month now and seems like battery drains fast. I use it as a second phone and it has a SIM in it so by now I'd think it would last longer. comparing to other phones like z fold 6

    • @shanecraigtech
      @shanecraigtech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's right in line with the Fold 6 for me.

    • @hobbitpsi
      @hobbitpsi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I get a about a day and a few hours on mine. The only times it drains fast is if I'm playing a game or watching movies. Other than this thing is great on battery. Thanksgiving I pulled it off the charge at around 7am. by 11pm I was sitting at 58% and that was with playing movies for my kids and streaming music as well as getting bombarded with phone calls. I will say this, I do know one thing that drains my battery like no other is when I turn on my hot spot for my kids to have internet in the car, but that's really the only thing I've notice drain it fast.

    I've got a Zagg Elite Glass protector on mine, a replacement for the XTR3 I got from Google directly. The XTR3 did end up bubbling on the bottom left corner. I went through Zaggs warranty replacement to find it its not available in the UK, they registered the Elite Glass in its place for me which has been great with the Google case
    I've dropped it on the top right corner and I think the google case looks to have bumped into and lifted the protector slightly and caused dirt to get under it so its got a tiny biy of bubbling. If it gets worse I'll just get it replaced under warranty again!

    I used otterboxes' p9pf screen protector, process was fairly simple, not as easy as d brand. Id use OtterBox still but if I change anything I'd probably to with dbrand because the OtterBox one leaves room for a phone case and ive gone caseless

  • @zora_tech
    @zora_tech 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Yeah honestly just from my experience I would stay away from dbrand. There customer service is terrible. If you ever have to reach out to support you will get an automated reposne saying someone will contact you in a few days which won't happen until you reach backout again a week later with another automated response and then a real person will contact you a few days later. If you don't continue to try and contact them they will not get back to you ever.
    I also used to use dbrad screen protectors since the pixel 3 but one thing I noticed is that the phone screen can break underneath the protecor while the protecor is still intact. I had this happen on my Pixel 3, Pixel 7, and a family members iPhone 12 and iPhone 14. While other protectors like the ones you mentioned in the video will break they atleast don't have the phone screen break so long as you replace the broken protector.

    is the dbrand screen protector water proof? What i mean by that is do water drops stay on the screen and roll off without needing to wipe alot? I can't find the answer anywhere and this is the reason i havent bought it.

    Random question but are you using a dbrand skin on the fold 6? Screen protector too? I'm really struggling finding a case and I'm giving up hope. I'm thinking about using a dbrand skin and a screen protector.
