Hello Center for Celiac Research and Treatment Team,
I am very interested in the topic and wanted to politely ask if there are any studies on these questions and Dr. Alessio Fasano statements:
Is it true that gluten cannot be digested by anyone?
Is it true that gluten increases gut permeability (leaky gut) in everyone?
Are there studies that confirm all of Dr. Alessio Fasanos statements and prove that gluten causes intestinal permeability in everyone, regardless if the individual is healthy or not and regardless if someone is suffering from celiac disease and are there studies that confirm and show that gluten cannot be digested by anyone?
I would be very happy if you could help me out here.
Thank you very much for your help and your great efforts. I really appreciate that

Saludos cordiales.

Heavy Rye bread or Sourdough Rye bread I find easier to digest and less mucus forming.
The taste & texture I prefer.
In supermarkets too much Wheat flour is added making so called "Rye" bread like a cotton sponge plus a lot of additives.
Some ethnic bakeries like German bakery make the bread I can eat.

@@oklamahalo1338In my opinion, after everything I’ve read I would say all of them, except olive oil. Seed oil increases omega-6 levels in the blood, that causes chronic inflammation.

What if something else like NSAIDs and malnutrition have affected your digestive system and right junctions even though you're not genetically predisposed to coeliac. Could gluten then cause problems for an already compromised gut?

Please re-upload with proper subtitles. The closed captioning in several cases gives the opposite meaning from what is being said.

@@DGHF Late response. But 5% applies to a portion of the population with clinically significant symptoms associated with gluten consumption. The % is much higher for the portion of the population that experience adverse effects that are not considered clinically significant, such as the aforementioned 'gluten sensitivities'. The takeaway here is that if you don't have an established sensitivity, you're probably in the clear. I say probably because it may be affecting you in some way, whether you have symptoms or not, that can develop into something serious much later in life. I don't think eating gluten is worth the developmental risk of leaky gut. My son has a sensitivity to gluten, so it doesn't hurt me to limit/avoid gluten myself.
