My personal tip is whenever a compiler throws an error.,go ahead and copy the error message and Google it. Someone might just have the same error before you and solutions to error are easily found in Quora, stack overflow and other Q&A sites.

Everyone in Indian education system specially schools and colleges should watch this video either they are using proprietary software like Ms. Office , Photoshop or very outdated ones like Turbo C++ which drives me nuts because almost every company is happy to provide their software for free or at very low cost for educational purposes or just use free open source software What do you think ?

Great video Hitesh. I would like to add one thing.
Students and sometimes beginner programmers also are using Windows OS. Which is good if you are doing a lot of work on designing or gaming. But if you are a programmer say Android dev or Python dev, I strongly recommend you to switch to Linux. Ubuntu is the best Linux distro to get started with.
It will save you 7 to 8k rupees on the genuine version of Windows. I do not recommend the pirated version of Windows because it comes full with malware. You will realize that programming on Linux is A LOT more comfortable than on Windows.

Buying a OS is a Big problem for many people.There are many student who barely afford buying a good computer. Till now many of the student in India and many other countries cannot afford a good computer with proper memory space and ram. So buying a Software or OS is a big deal for them. I think it's time to think for them. Those people's percentage is more than the people who can afford.
There are also some good number of people like me, who may be can afford buying Softwares or OS, It's depends on their daily life budget. Suppose someone is far from home and what salary he getting is going mostly on his daily life, then how can he be able to buy Software and OS with High price. May be Companies should focus on less pricing or gov have to take a step to may be reduce those price.
Still i want to say that those programmers who worked or working those Software or OS they also need their proper respect and money. So whoever can afford it will be good if they buy those OS or Software because somewhere some people working hard to create something new to help people. And for those who cannot buy, some low version provide for them will be good.

Hey I disagree with you on your third tip regarding incompatibility of Linux, especially Ubuntu. It is most user friendly Linux OS after windows. It is a very popular OS for programmers in the Linux world. Anyone can migrate from windows to Ubuntu with a little learning curve. It supports a wide range of hardware. Finally it is FREE.
