@@yt75432 I think motivational speeches/lectures do work. The problem that people face after hearing a motivational speaker is that they don’t always follow the suggestions given by the speaker. They get pumped up for a day or two, then it’s back to the old ways. It takes persistent effort to change one’s self. After the initial “high” of listening to a motivational speaker, people come down. It’s just like a drug. They want to hear more and more…, but they never do anything with the knowledge they’ve gained. A good motivational speaker will not only get people motivated during the lecture, but will give them ways to expand on what they’re saying, to put it into practice
