This isn't a dig at Rivera, in fact he's great. But it's kind of a relief to see that even famous artists use varying degrees of reference vs. the idea that they all just draw these amazing pictures exclusively from their head.
I was thinking the same thing but I also kinda think that it’s because he’s very meticulous about it like how he said with the shadows and not wanting to miss any spots where there should be one. It’s amazing watching it come to life. Also with the painting him red adding orange to make it seem like the light source is making the red pop more something I never thought about but makes a lot of sense and it really does look good.
Love watching these great artist create. They make it look so easy.
paolo rivera is the best!
great artist, Hellboy is really a fun character to draw because the style is so unique to that character alone.
Hellboy is going to get a major boost in popularity can't wait for the new movie!!

I'm trying my hand at being a comic book artist myself and have seen many videos such as this one, but still...this was very cool to watch!
Паоло один из лучших художников в комиксах и после Миньолы в 90-х лучший художник для персонажа хэлбоя
Absolutely amazing!
The finesse with the brush was amazing
Absolutely love his art
Amazing
I need to start using blender for model reference the way he uses sculptress.
No you don’t because that would be cheating.

Sculptris was good. Small world, I actually worked with the developer on it. :)

Great!. I have a question. can you please say How you Snap your Pens and eraser on the table?
What are the markers are you using because everytime I try to ink before I paint the marker runs and bleeds out with the color
he is using the Pentel pocket brush pen. also make sure you give your ink plenty of time to dry😁
So good!! What are you using for a canvas?
what's the name of the marker that he's using ?
Damn he made water colour look easy!
I want to do that one day
What hardness lead is in your lead holder?

🔥🅱️🅱️🅱️🅱️🅱️
injustice 2 hype
Is he the artist who designed Hellboy????. . M
No, that would be Mike Mignola, Hellboy's creator.
I'm trying hard to create my own comic book, but I think it's difficult by myself. Any motivational words of wisdom? Anyone?
The only thing I know how to draw is bath water
Using a computer model is cheating.
Wack
Bro you're crazy!
.
Seriously don't dig the whole "snob" act he's putting on, like he thinks he's so superior, hahah. GTF outta here.
Wow
