This was Luke's fifth single. The first four were break up songs. This was the first love song he released as a single and with it he just proved what his fans believed of him. That is that he is an amazing singer/songwriter.
Reminds me of what we call "Red Dirt" country in Texas. Luke Combs is from North Carolina, but welcome in Texas anytime. The story telling is a huge part. Raw, simple lyrics, but they tell a story, and you can feel it.

Its about family and the hard work thet we put out to ensure that our families are happy, safe, and healthy and sometimes about the time we missed with them. There is something that everybody can relate to no matter who you are. Most country music is written from the point of view of a life lived by the writer and most hip hop, rap, gangsta rap, are written from a fictional point of view or one that was lived by someone else and not by the writer themselves and in that way its very similar to a lot of Rock and Roll, especially classic Rock, but that is why there is so much passion in country music.
