McCloud river packrafting

Two day packrafting on McCloud River in Shasta County, Northern California in September 2023 with flow ~330 cfs.
For logistics, we've used a paid shuttle from Shasta (~$250) to travel from end to the beginning of the paddle. They did not have proper offroad tires, so we walked the last ~3 miles (some of the researchers gave us a lift for part of the way).
One swim on my part just as we started (a tree in the water scared me a bit after an accident few weeks prior paddling in Tajikistan) , two swims from each of my friends :) By chance, we broke a brand new Werner paddle in "Werner's profit" rapid named after similar accident 25 years prior.
Check Caltopo or GAIA for public lands, there seems to be much more camping opportunities than described on CACREEKs. Also, the milage on some of the rapids seemd ~.5 miles off.
