A great song that goes on forever. The film "Lullaby of Broadway" starring Doris Day came out in the early 50's featuring this gem of a number. 42nd Street had wonderful upbeat songs and is a great musical! Thanks for this video.

Does anybody know what year this is from? I'd love to see this play live. As many times as I've been to New York, I've never seen a live play. Well, 'Naked Boys Singing' but that ain't exactly Broadway, although I did enjoy it.

Good song and production but I think I like the production in Gold Diggers of 1935 better. The dance number is incredible.

He murders this song!
This was the ending number of "Broadway Golddiggers of 1935." Every other song was, in my opinion, a dud. This one stuck out a mile. I don't know exactly what the quality is, but it's a song that sinks its hooks into you the first time you hear it. I'm trying to recreate the arrangement and orchestration using software. Maybe that will help me figure it out.
