How do you choose your favorite RE game? Do you go with genre-defining standouts like Resident Evil 4? What about going back to where things started, like the original Resident Evil? What about the most modern and eminently replayable games such as Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil Village? Or even Resident Evil 4 VR? What people love about Resident Evil is often very personal, and tastes vary wildly in terms of what people find cheesy, horrifying, or even fun. It’s a difficult list for sure, but we assembled a crack team with very different opinions about what makes RE special, and we voted on the list you see here. We hope you enjoy!

RE Code Veronica is the top of the old style re games with incredible story, soundtrack, gameplay, characters, etc..
Which could become the best in the genre if Capcom remake it in such a way they did with RE2;
It’s amazing how RE7: Biohazard changed the game series in a huge way, but kept the same magic. Incredible.

Resident Evil 7 kinda revived Resident Evil
But tocbe honest is kinda overrated
The first half is nearly perfect
The second half is very boring

Resident Evil 7 and 8 is my favorite videogame Duology, such great games, different yet similar. Capcom really outdid themselves with their past 4 games.

Notice how Resident Evil 3 was kept off the list. The absence of the clock tower segment from the original and the shortness of the campaign was so noticeable that it massively affected its score. Don’t get me wrong, it was great but it was far too short.

Objectively,the best resident evil is re3: nemesis ;immediately after there is re4(2005).
There are NO other excellent,optimal or even good resident evil . only fair(re0,re1,re2),almost insufficient but with a great potential(re7),almost unplayable(re5,re revelations,code veronica,re1 remake,re2 remake,re3 remake,re4 remake,re village), unplayable(re6)and obscene(re resistance)

RE4 is the kind of game, you can never get bored of. Every character is well-described unlike RE6 and Ada's campaign is the best among all RE franchises she appeared on. And admit it, "You love Ashley in white costume"😉

Man that’s jacked up how RE3 didn’t make this list. But RE4 did twice, hands down RE2 will forever be my all time favorite game. And I’m also ready to see what RE4 Remake is gonna bring to the table!!🔥🔥

Original resident evil will always be my favorite, even with all the cheesy dialog, it just had such a massive impact in gaming for me, and it’s where it all started… The Mansion, the mystery, Umbrella and the secret lab … Loved it ..

In my opinion, Code Veronica deserved to be on this list more than RE4 VR and RE5.
RE5 is one of the best COOP games, was so fun with a friends and Lost in Nightmares was golden
Yass, it had a low budget too
Yuss, just replayed it and was super blown away, the extra mission with Jill also surprised me a lot.
RE2 Remake and RE2 are in my Top 10 Games of All Time

The opening level in the village was fantastic, the rest of the game never lived up to that quality for me though. Was just a decent action game thereafter.
The best thing about Resident Evil games, is the insane amount of replay value you can get out of the games.

There is no RE Code Veronica which would be the origin RE 3 storyline. There are no RE Revelations 1-2 with more classic gameplay, but both RE 4 and RE 4 VR in this top.
Resident evil 4 VR blew me away with how it made Resident evil 4 brand new again and with another RE4 remake on the way their will be 3 main ways to experience this incredible game 😎

Re7 is the best game not because of the terrifying horror or the amazing gameplay and massive amount of content, but for how efficiently it was made.
50 people and 3 years of development and they made a new engine that runs 60 frames on potato. Best one.
The only problem with RE5 was Shevas A.I, atleast it seems like to me. Despite the game lacking in the horror aspect, it's still a great game, one of my favourites. The story was awesome, a lot of guns to play with, the characters and zombies fit in with the story and the bosses were creative. Truly an underrated game in my opinion.
