- I thought it was about time I do an actual regular series for you guys on the cars I build and drive, and I bought this Corolla with this in mind.
It's quite a weapon as is, but can it be even better? Of course it can!

People never apricieated this car truely, it was even used for the World Rally Championship, really proving its true capabilities.
I had one of these when I used to live in portugal, 10 years ago, I miss this car very much. Wish more of them came to Brazil

@@myqaveli amazing for inner city travel, for motorways not so much. I would go through 40% of a tank for a 100miles journey on the motorway (70mph).
Im considering buying a 5 door hatch 1.4 with 60k original miles. is filling up expensive? how is yearly cost, etc can’t find much info on it so if you could id appreciate it
@@myqaveli I had the 1.3 g6 model, so I think it would be different, sadly I no longer have the car so cant provide much more info, sorry.
That sounds epic, proper sleeper, never paid any attention to these. Get the anti-lag on the go if its all there waiting to be used.

Dan Jackson It wouldn’t be my car without some cable ties, so they were their first use as I didn’t trust the old battery ties lol
I have a 98 Corolla, except I have the 5 door Liftback, still got the same tires it got from the factory aha, 48k miles really doesn't add alot of wear for them needing changed, but mine is completely stock, and mostly rust free.
Love a sleeper ( hence my Volvo project) , that 60-100 will surely wipe a few smiles!! That’s a loud ole stu-tu-tu from the turbo 😂
Will be a lot faster soon too.

Nice car I have Corolla T Sport with 3sgte engine going for all wheel drive and 700bhp. I gotta say it's good fun I believe you with MR2 gearbox and diff makes hell of a difference in front wheel drive keep going
I’ve seen this a tuning developments when I was getting my Glanza mapped and a emanage Ecu fitted. Spoke with mike about how he built it and was saying that he possibly would break it as there wasn’t much interest as a whole when he was selling it. Glad to see it still being used and in one piece! Cool car! 👍🏻
Chris Moden from what I understand it did sell in the end for a lot of money, about twice what I paid for it!

That'd be SO grippy with the drive system from the GT4! I recently had a 2001 1.4L VVTi facelift version of that car and for all the power in that engine it went surprisingly well, the tight backend made it fun on B roads but I would've loved it as a GT4 version.
It dead hooks in 2nd in the dry, so for what I want it for the extra weight and transmission losses of 4wd would just slow it down

Lorenzo Clara 4wd would do zero to it aside from slowing it down by adding a lot of weight and transmission losses. I’ve zero traction issues.

XbillabongjohnX to be fair they are pretty decent looking, a lot like a EK Civic really. And the WRC car is one of my fave cars ever. It’s just a shame they never made a fast version as a production car.
Stav-Tech I hear you man, I think Australia got a turbocharged special edition, but your right with the WRC did that have the castrol livery?
XbillabongjohnX yeah the WRC ones were wide body and the works cars were Castrol livery. And Oz got 100 5door ones with a turbo engine called Sportivos, only place to get a factory turbo one
It was jonny milners corolla which got me into them. I think they look good and very reliable. Keep them well maintained and they will just keep going and going.
Does the multi function steering wheel work? (the buttons) as that looks to be from an E12, sweet lil rolla buddy

@@DMCGINNIGLEep. Bought it unchanged from when he built it years ago, fitted the vital bits, ie decent tyres and AFR gauge, and now time to make it better.
what bov do you use on your setup? it sounds really awesome! I'm also running a 3sgte gen4 on my corolla e11, looking forward to more videos on this build! 👌

so how did you get that flutter sound? 😱 will removing the bov help? I saw a vid that seals off the pipe to the bov, would that work? haven't tried it yet 🤔
Adam Arceo that noise is from not running any kind of BOV. No stock recirc one or aftermarket.
Only reason you hear it when some aftermarket BOVs are fitted is because the springs are so strong they hardly open

i ahve a g6 with a 4age bt i m looking forward to make a swap with an 3SGTE my car is all stock what others changes i have to make to run safely with a 3SGTE exept the gearbox, like suspension rolling bars brakes etc thanks alot, wish you nice rides
Keep it full weight with interior etc for maximum sleeper lols
Pingman Full interior means zero to it being a sleeper, nobody can see what’s inside unless it’s parked up, and I don’t care then
I have an really important question: Does the 6-speed transmission from the g6 fit to the 3s-GTE engine ? Or do you have done some modifications until it fits ?
Naratema Productions Germany it doesn’t. Better to use the e58 6 speed gearbox.

FukU2222 no I think they are Europe only. The chassis they based the WRC car on, and I think that was built by TTE (Toyota Team Europe) too

Is it a cheap build to put in a 3sgte as well as the transmission coz have an e11 at home and want to take out the wank engine

Why the celica 3S over the MR2?
Onfire is a Gen3 3S any different between MR2 and GT4? Aside from this has the antilag manifold. I didn’t fit the engine, and I think the engine came from the tuners ST205 GT4 WRC edition, so that’s what was there.
@@StavTech Ahh I see fair enough. I have no idea if there's any differences between the motors I was hoping you'd share if there was.
Pretty much exactly the same, different alternator and other superfluous bits for fitment but same core engine.
It would be so cool, if you could gradually help me with mine... £
