Obsidian is such a tank that I cannot pen most of the time, but as soon as I take obsidian myself everyone can pen me.
I guess I am a special person because I use SPG to make credits in frontline. It is like a light tank the stun DMG is like spotting DMG. And it is more likely that you will only use 1 vehicle in battle, therefore 1 repair bill. With clan credit and personal reserves and make 300k credits in a battle. Frontline is a credit farming mode who cares how you make the credits.

Agreed. With how fast vehicles are now, bigger maps are needed. Yes, a default mode would be great.
Same here. Front Line is the only mode I play anymore. So I go months in between playing WOT.
If it would be some of the dafaults (including randoms and grand battles) then people would only play FL, for credits and for missions. It has to be seasonal, thankfully :) because I am not playing it since ~ 2 years ago, it's just a shitshow.
Frontline is good mode when you take couple of beers and chitchat with platoon friend.
But sure there is lots of more things to do that way.

I uninstalled about 9 months ago, but as a FTP account I enjoyed frontline enough as a credit maker. Only had tech tree tanks and a few bond tanks, but it was a good change of pace mode. Recognize the goal isn't to fight to the death on every section of map like in a typical game mode. Survive longer to get higher rank and farm more damage, earn more credits. I get it that some just don't enjoy it...what I don't get is why some find it hard to understand the strategy. It's not rocket surgery

Before I stopped playing, Frontlines was infested with packs of rabid Bourrasques, roaming the map taking out anyone who strayed from the pack
hey Claus! you have to turn on the boosters at the end of the game not before, this is a "new" mechanic! just press B ingame!

As long as you don't use premium you can make some really good credits especially with the boosters win or lose. I like to use the Pregetto 46, GSOR 1008 and the Bisonte C45. I use a turbo on the GSOR and Bisonte. The important thing is to repair yourself at the repair area. You sat and tried to trade with the Obsidian and you should have turn and run to the repair area. Same thing when you were in the Kpz. 07 RH instead of trying to kill the T26E4, you should have hightailed it to the repair area. Then there is the team, they have a tendency to spread out all over the map and you lose the caps.

Front Line just works as a “shoot until you die” mode for me. Seems aimless. Good examples today Claus. Thanks!

Earlier some of the CCs have said that it's ok to let enemies take some of the bases to play more and make more money, that's why I believe în some games Allies just let them take the cap

Claus, Claus, Claus... It's not whether you win or lose... It's how much damage you farm and credits you earn. That infuriates me as well but, there you have it. Play your OP premium tanks and restock your credit pool.

Frontline is my big money maker. I don’t spam gold, but I do keep about 15 rounds on hand. Always run into a few I can’t pen from the front without it .
Teamwork is usually out the window, so I focus on damage. If they want to work as a team, I am all in for it. But, that doesn’t happen often enough.
Win or lose it’s a huge credit boost
Not worth it if you have a high ping connection. The bigger maps and many tanks on it causes massive lag sometimes.
Wargaming actually straight up had a big warning this time, that my ping (170ish) was too high and not to bother playing FL as it would certainly choke.
Frontline has become a serious muppit event, just drives you bananas, but I do make credits even without boosters, I can be fun when there aren’t piles of muppets who quit in middle of map, arty is big part of front line. Cap flooding and team pushes make it fun.

After like 60K battles since 2012. I find the random 15 vs 15 so stale and formulaic and battles all develop in similar way on the same old maps.
Frontline has that chaos of the battlefield, the 30 vs 30 player shitshow, the imbalance, the unfair nasty stuff like arty and minefields and everything, nonsensical end goals...
Much needed spice and variety.
I grind my garage full of tier 8's to play Frontline, tier 8´s only is why. And I load the game with arty when I eat ;-)
I think Frontline is one of the best modes they have. No wins/losses just earn credits and experience
I love Frontline. Huge maps, respawn, all the same tier, and good credit earning. I wish WOT would have it every couple of months instead of just a few times a year.
Arty is very good in Front line! they target the repair bays and capture zones then just spam the gold!
Teams many times are useless, even getting to stage to farm damage and allow bases to be taken as it extends the time and that mean s more points. Just play for yourself like everybody else.
you sometimes get the same map 4 or more times in a row... most people who play this game know not to shoot gold and take off special perks and directives.This mode is all about getting credits. It also is a good way to progress your BP when it is on at the same time.Surprisely enough i get general a lot when i play my elceven90 and the borrasque

Welcome to war reality, Claus! Mass confusion & dealing with multiple targets that could kill you anytime. Only one thing here if killed you get to fight another day! I made it after 457 days in SE Asia behind the lines with no support & 20-30 to 1 odds, running out of food, water, medical supplies & most f all ammunition (18 against 300-400). I lost my LT & 5 other troopers. I was the only walking wounded, the others had wounds that I had to load their weapons, while treating their wounds & crawling out among the dead enemy & securing their food, water ammo & their weaponry for 11.5 days until finally we were egressed, all 18, including the dead. Rangers leave no-on behind! My brigade of 790 only 213 came home & only 20 came home not missing a body part! That is reality of real war!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that remembers that whimsical song smithing of Haircut 100. I'm playing it for shits and giggles and the money and it doesn't hurt my stats :)
After years of hearing Claus say "that's what you get, you like it like that" it was hilarious to hear him say " I don't like this but I'll try it again for you" this time. Also, I am probably a very sick individual.
Front Line is a nice Intermezzo from the dayly sludge, dont take it to seriouse, but its fun, big map, tier 8 only and you cant remember all angles you can be shot at and shoot from. I am a F2P player and i never lost credits with FL ( i shoot only regular amo)
I ve uninstalled the game and that's it. After 15 yrs of playing it and mostly enjoying it enough is enough. I can not call this a game anymore with so many variables out of my control.

Yeah after 12 years of the same repetitious game play, I too removed WoT for good! And I sold my account on EBay to get most of my money back. 😉

just tried this again after more than 2 years away from it and instantly cannot see enemy always bounce and get insta shot back, more ground shots than hit for bounce module damage like you said every shot or tracked every shot.

Always play front line for yourself never try to win as a team. Put on your credit boosters, remove the gold ammo, steadily accumulate the damage and do not burn through your tanks. Then you will have loads of fun and remember if you get dumped on you can always resporn and get revenge. Get all your field mods completed and the best bit none of it counts for any WN8 or stats. Free hit all round.
Attacking is easier than defending. Barely anybody plays heavies. Most tier 8s can pen tier 8 heavies easily. And way to slow.
1 of the first frontline games i played was in my ferdinand. I was driving more than half the time.
Object of Frontline, secure the flanks then capture the base. Capture the bases and you get time to destroy the objectives and farm damage. If you are spawned as defend, all you have to do is discourage capture of the bases and burn off time. It is a better mode over random battles or make believe modes with hocus pocus and tell a ports... WG is a lost cause until they fix their stupid games.
There should be a retake option of lost objectives like cap circles A-F.
The 5 big coastal gun turrets could keep being assault targets.
However there should be 5 big landing crafts on the beachhead, that the defenders could attack and destroy.
Why not go into battle with all your tanks as a platoon with 4-5 in bot mode. On outer, inner, right and left flanks.
Switch tank when your 1st forward tank dies. ⬅↖⬆↗➡
The reason people are not defending the caps is that you want the game to last so that you can get a higher rank and more credits.
I Love it! It is action packed and something different from the norm.
I do not mind frontline, nice credit farming.I also play without any premium ammo or consumables.
Is it only me or there is such a weird noise in the backround? Do you have heating on or anything?
Hey Claus. I saw a comment from you asking "what should I do next?". Knowing how much you love SPG's have you ever done something on the best places to head for in both long range SPGs and the short range ones like the FV304? I've been finding that playing the short range variety is great fun as you have to move about to find a good place to shoot from but I'm sure I haven't learned them all 🙂
Start with light then switch to arty depending if we're defending to earn more cap reset score and reach higher rank fast and voila you got more credit even if your team loose. I only play this mod for some credits and rewards and stop after reaching the end. I earn more money from randoms in same amount of time.

In those two games if Claus didn't use any boosters he would have lost 71 credits in the first game and lost 11,938 in the second game. I guess you need to use boosters to get any credits.
Tried Frontline 3 x....each match was like being caught in a blender...no chance at all of winning.

Bouncing a standard round costs more than penetrating with a premium round.
You don't have to USE the large kits, and they give resistance to damage.
Frontline is the most fun mode in game. Intense with clock. no 15-0 battles most often its a fight to the end. That you have no idea what you doin isent the game mode problem. You dont use your battle reserves and drive around like a chicken with no head
But sure every 6th battle or so you end up in a too passive team, there you are correct. To get a good result you need to be FRONTline
I played it last night for the first time in about three years. I was pretty confused TBH, but it was fun and I made a lot of credits even though I died a lot, Most games I made captain. You describe it well Claus. I could relate to what you say about it. I like that I can suck and still not decrease my win rate and make credits. No premium ammo.
I love frontline. The mm is perfect ;), the objectives create pressure and you can make very good credits and free exp

It's not about winning or losing yet winning will give you more creds and XP. You want to play as long as possible to get more time to farm dmg to get more. I played 1 game and used 3 tanks and made over 11k xp and lots of creds not even trying using some prem when needed. You do better with something fast that you can retreat and setup new ambush spots and FARM FARM FARM. Also try to max damage to rank up fast as possible to make more. With a prem tank and boosters going you can make crazy amounts of XP and Creds

Claus, the new lights suck. Put the yellow light behind you, maybe sideways, and white from the front or front side.
So if the rings around the caps are green than your defending. If the rings are red your attacking. I like FL because you can make millions of credits in that week. Just don’t use gold ammo. The objectives are the big guns at the end.
I like frontline. No pressure just fun.
is the most fun mod as u have repairs and so on and u don't have to use gold to make a lot of credits.... it's fun
i make credits almost every game in FrontLine
But , I like to play RT , and most times I can play the entire game without being exploded
If you are defending , there are mulitple positions that allows me to cover two zone bases , which gets me lots of credits
I have made it to the rank of General a number of times
I have fun playing this way , but I'm sure many players would find it a bit boring , but it works for me
I finished this round of FrontLine in 3 days
Maxed out first day to get the tokens and got my fill back to rando's now credits are ok so long as you dont use any premium ammo/consumes i found the Progetto to be the most fun in there or the Burr
I stick with my low- mid tier tanks because of the power creep and all the extra stuff on higher tier tanks makes it not fun to grind a new tank. always being outclassed by those who do have all the purple or pink equipment and alt set ups, just not worth the aggravation for me.
You say you hate the mode, but you are having so much fun, never seen you laugh so much 😆

I love how people rag on SPG players in frontlines. These are the people who don't know how to play them or defend against them. My last 3 games I made general in my spgs and so far have made over 3mil credits. The goal in FL isn't to win or lose, it's about causing damage and farming the creds. Once you understand that, you'll do just fine.
I play for the credits and the stage rewards, then done. That desert map is the craziest. Middle of nowhere run into rwo tanks or something.

Claus, I think WOT is just trying to add some verity to the game. If someone doesn't like a certain offering they aren't compelled to take it. Think about it; we typically are playing the same maps and the same positions on those maps... one game blurs into the next over and over and over the same pattern. I commend WOT for at least trying to mix it up a little for us. Some people find security in just doing the same thing over and over.

Claus you can delay turning the credit boosters on until you spawn into the game .........press "B" and select them as the game starts dude.
This is WOTs version of a Demolition Derby. Sorta fun in a way ... entertaining. But counterproductive to credit building or any "normal" grind if you will.
only those who spend money, can play those games... WoT has become a spectator game for those who don't spend... you watch others win, you watch others have fun, watching is all I've ever been able to do...
Dear Mr. Kellermann. You should try to play artillery in Frontline. Because artillery is the only one who has planes to spot. And this makes sense, because it is that way in reality too, right ?
Planes and drones spot and the artillery shoots. Oh and by the way. Playing artillery in Frontline is way more relaxed and fun than playing a medium or heavy.
Just play artillery and you will enjoy it.
Only when you do the mop up damage you pick a fast medium or light 😋

I got what they call WOT+ for $9 USD per month, allowing me to demount bounty equipment for free (free, yeah $9 per month free my a$$). How can I play Frontlines and move my equipment between each new tank I play?
As a f2p regular schmol, you can make credits with your premium vehicles even without premium time.
Frontline really brings out the NOOBS and RNG. I get too discouraged after 1 battle to continue. I don't need the credits so I don't bother playing it.
You need to be crazy to play such modes
You should really try improved aiming equipment on progetto.

Frontline is the most fun in WOT.
i played the special game modes in the past, didn't like them, tried onslaught again after watching the vids, ya it was ok played it some, Frontline kinda the same but the games are long. one of the great plus's for WOT is the short game length. IMHO no real benefit to aggressively defending anything, same points win or loss. capping a zone is a benefit because it extends the game.... defend the final objectives. whole point is to farm damage.
I dont like frontline, but I'm playing it for the credits opportunity. I'm making 500k+ profit every game with credit boosters and battle payments. Ofc, playing only premium tanks and not spamming gold liiiiike a mofo. I managed to get to lvl 20 for the bonds and farmed about 15m in 2 days this weekend. So, although we dont like, we kindda need it.

Never played S Show Frontline, looks bad enough watching you play. Like the way WG changes where you aim at and the gun refuses to aim where you aim it, it aim below or above where you aim. S Show for sure.
I quit Frontline because i can't play to not try and win. I only play regular battles no special modes.
its a fun mode if you have the right tanks. Otherwise is worse than randoms, by far.
I only be playing frontline for credits. The mode is nonsense apart from credit grinding

First season of frontline man…was that 2018? It was simply beautiful. That first season for some reason mostly homo sapiens players played the mode and frontline i think still is the best thing this game offered to this day. Then i think dumbfucks discovered/heard the credit gains and mode completely fucked up.
