Great advice. When I am asked for setup for the GLR, I provide my standard baseline setup. Which is middle of the road, and offers a neutral balance pretty much everywhere that I have driven. Mostly the difference from the manual setup, is that it uses a stiffer front spring (blue), to compensate for the addition of the brass chassis, and softer center spring (black default is the hardest). This allows ability to tune up and down depending on the users circuit, conditions, and driving style.
Everyone drives a little differently, and in this scale I find that the feel of the car is almost more important than the outright performance of the setup. So, what one racer wins with, may not be suitable for another racer because of the difference in driving style.
There are generally 3 approaches to car setup for a circuit (basic explanation), corner entry, balanced, and corner exit. Typically, to gain more corner entry, you sacrifice on the exit... depending on the layout, I focus on different elements of the car to gain performance where it is needed. So, my setup for one specific track may benefit me there, but on a different layout, be very difficult to drive. Generally speaking though, with the GLR, I focus on the corner entry to mid corner more than the exit. And for some, the idea of waiting on throttle through the mid corner is more difficult to grasp, as they want to be on the throttle as early as possible, but on some setups, getting on the throttle too early just loses time and stability. My throttle points are to accelerate straight off the corner, and not rotate the car. General focus is on efficiency of the battery/motor, but also the tire... So, setup is very individual to the driver, and knowing how you drive, and develop a setup around that, is what is needed to be a consistent and fast driver.

You should do a set up guide on the GLF one or at least give your thoughts on it. Also, are we going to see a video on tires anytime soon?

I really like your advice on switching from a stock-ish Mini-Z to a custom chassis without wasting too much energy on upgrading Mini-Z.
I have one important question though: Where did you get your Audi Body? I absolutely need one 😀

Yup, never be afraid to ask the fast guys about tires at any given track. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you end up learning. It has always worked for me.

Finally just figured out what are those carbon disks on the front wheels. They are referred to as "Carbon Slip Rings". Can anyone explain the benefits of using these? Much Thanks!

ok.. I don’t believe in coincidences but I just told my wife I would like to make these. I was rewatching The Wire season 1 with the model cars and stuff! Very interesting mate!
