Megadeth was my first concert ever, back in 87. It was the so far so good so what tour. I’ve seen Megadeth three times, and I also saw them on their RUST IN PEACE tour. I’ve seen them play this live twice.
This song and Metallica's Master of Puppets are the 2 greatest Trash Metal songs ever in my opinion. BTW all the songs from the album Rust in Peace are superb.

Yeah there is actually quite alot of bands like this for me, I was quite stubborn as a teenager and liked what I liked and most of it was stuff that was on like Kerrang or Skuzz, i didnt even check out much else and so unless a friend showed me a particular band, I wouldnt have ventured in to their music

Set the World Afire, 502, Mary Jane, Hook in Mouth, Into the Lungs of Hell, all fire thrash tunes from back in 88. I love old Metallica but i think Dave and Cliff were the best parts of that band, no offense to James.

So that album was from 1987 - 1988 , this is the Best Megadeth song , there current album came out in 2016 it is called Dystopia and they won a grammy for it , they have just gotten better and better over time. They are awesome!

Dave Mustaine, and Marty Friedman is absolut killers on a guitar, thats what i love most about Megadeth, they really can do some riffs thats out of this world.. so always followed them, been in the drawer, up again, but always been there.. Holy wars(the punishment due) is a top Megadeth song, and a killer yes, but they did a lot of great stuff. if you want something live to react to, i can reccomend Live in San Diego 2008 concert, cant remember what is best there, but could be a song like Take no prisoners maybe..

Ford and Chevy BOTH make excellent vehicles, and both bands make killer riffs (both the car companies and the bands made a few turds as well). Also, neither band would be half as awesome if the other didn't exist. Would "Rust in Peace" even exist if Dave hadn't heard "Master of Puppets" and set his sights on out-doing it? Mustangs, Focuses, and F150 Raptors are epic awesome, but so are Corvettes, Camaros and Chevelles.
One of the greatest things to happen in American metal was Dave getting kicked out of Metallica.. Gave us Megadeth.. A place where Dave could look down on Metallica and pat them on the head for making the effort without him... :)
Trading Dave Mustaine for Kirk Hammett, he's like giving your Maserati away for a 1984 Fiero. Metallica isn't even close to the musicianship and Technical ability as the musicians in Dave's band. It was the best thing he could do is go on his own. All Metallica songs are the simplest structures ever known to have been successful as they are. I mean look at Lars Ulrich, simple boom tap boom tat structures. And Kirk Hammett every single song is with a Wawa to cover up all the mistakes and Imperfections trust me I've heard his isolated tracks. Very successful band though, just not near the caliber of Megadeth
Start from the beginning stick to the originals and don't skip a song you won't be disappointed in Megadeth presentation of what they considered to be Quality Technical music
Nothing like Metallica.. very distinct sound. My opinion is Megadeth is light years better than Metallica. Don’t get me wrong, when I’m in the mood for some soft rock I listen to “The Carpenters, John Denver and some Metallica”, when I want to hear some excellent metal.. It's kinda crazy. MD is probably 3rd for me out of the Big Four but I've seen them live more times than any other band. Dave was a worker.
