*You can even see it’s downfall in this video as there are not that many people there... 10/10 Video!*
I'm Japanese.
I often visit Nara but I was born in 2004 so never see real Dreamland. This video is very precious for me.
Thank you so much.
Sorry for the clumsy English.
You get a great view on what it once was. I wish I could have visited it
thx, ya this was very soon before it closed down. Not really surprising when you see the condition it was in.
Wow amazing footage! So glad you found your video visiting Nara Dreamland back in 2005. It seems they are only few people going in that park. This is so sad because it was closed in 2006, been abandoned for 10 years, and after a year it was demolished as well.
Nara Dreamland is such a beautiful and amazing park, those bright and vividly colors of the castle is very fascinating and even wonderful. It just really devastating and heartbreaking that this Dreamland is now only a dream that just faded away.
Thanks you so much for the video! 😊
Warm big hugs from Philippines. 💕
After almost 4 years, I’m here again to watch this Nara Dreamland video. It’s so interesting to see Nara Dreamland when it was still open and operated. It looks very sad to see how the theme park looks so lonely and peaceful because the low of attendance. I’m so glad you uploaded this!
You cut the haunted house 😭😭😭
It looked so interesting and weird in the abandoned video, I Wanted to see it in activity
As soon as I saw the feral, sick cat, plants taking over some of the rides, closed shops, and rust, that was the sign of the park ending real soon. I was so fascinated by the history of Dreamland. What you have is amazing stuff. I always wanted to see what it was like before it was abandoned.
Well they didn't have enough money to repair and fix things
Because of Disney and universal
Those stairs remind me of the pathway steps I made in rollercoaster tycoon
Lot of cynical opinions on this park but for its lifespan it's probably given memories to families and kids in Japan, we see it as a Disney knockoff but to someone who went as a kid it's probably irreplaceable, depressing to see what happened to it lowkey.
amazing
Ever since I heard of the legacy about this park, it’s sparked something in me. I’m so interested about such a theme park that was a clone, but brought joy to millions. Even though I wasn’t able to visit, the final day speech is what tightened my interest for this park. Thank you so much for stumbling apon this footage during the parks final days.
Lol no matter what language u speak a scream is universal lmfao
Nara Dreamland really tried to give a Disneyland to Japan but it since the owner couldn't use Disney's characters, it wasn't really Disney.
But now there's a REAL "Happiest place on Earth" !
Incredible to see footage of this! Hope you bought the souvenir sheet!
@@cartarsaucetheatre9363 that's awesome! i'm sure you'll stumble across it, and i demand you share it as soon as you find it!
I'm glad to see Nara Dreamland before it closed in 2006.
Okay, the cat caught my attention. It's so cute. By watching this video, you can actually see what the theme park looked like when it was open and operating at this time. It's nice to see some people still visit and go to the park. Even though Japan has already had their very own actual Disneyland and Universal Studios, I am really saddened by how Nara Dreamland turned out. Back then, it was a very promising and wonderful theme park that everyone really loved. Now it has become a memory in the past that will never ever be forgotten by the people who went there. Even though I have not gone there, Nara Dreamland has a special place in my heart. I love watching and hearing stories about this park. I really don't know why, but it gives me a nostalgic feeling from the past.
You made everyone happy, and the people had happy and unforgettable memories because of you, Nara Dreamland. Thank you very much.
Thank you for your wonderful comment! When I read it, I felt exactly the same! ❤❤😢😢
I saw other video that was filmed in 2018 it's still the same but lifeless and super eerie. Felt bad for this wonderful place.
It wasn't filmed in 2018. The park was already demolished COMPLETELY by 2017, and demolition started in 2016. So the footage you saw was probably taken between 2006 to 2016, and UPLOADED sometime in 2018, but it definitely wasn't filmed in 2018, specifically if the rides and buildings were all still in the footage. Everything was gone completely by March of 2017.
It wasn’t the same in 2018 they recorded that video in the old times and post it in 2018
I didn't know this was existed thanks friend for uploaded this I agree with everyone here with the comments it's really very shame..
I feel very lucky I got to visit. I should do a director commentary on that video, so many stories born that day.
that poor kitty :( someone should have rescued it. it probably died shortly after the filming of this video. :(((
It's not a coincidence that it feels like Disney: They were involved in development, but pulled out during construction pre-opening in 1961 due to... shocker... licensing disagreements!
Looks like you enjoyed it.
Go back there now and watch the video was you go around Nara. It's totally different.
You could’ve upload it on April 2005 and it would’ve been like the FIRST theme Park video on TH-cam!
Thank god there is a Nara dreamland before it’s abandoned. After going there it would be creepier at night
Ever since it closed down it was still a fun place and a Disney land knockoff
the screw coaster is the crock screw from canobie lake
14:24: Stray cat spotted
que mal que cerro me encantaria visitar el parque pero fue demolido
Now I'm wondering something, do you think you also have any video footage on the park's mascots, Ran-Chan and Dori-Chan?
They definitely had zero characters out and about when I was there. I would have died if I saw one.
1000 years from now archeologists and anthropologists will likely think it was ruins of a lost Japanese fortress.
they won't, since everything has been demolished and they are planning to build homes on top of the old plot of land, and probably solar panels like they've done with pretty much every abandoned spot that has been demolished in Japan. Dreamland was demolished completely by March of 2017 and began in 2016.
@@neferazureThe only remenants left of Nara Dreamland is the foundation of the former park entrance as well as the retaining pont for their Jungle Cruise attraction.
I want to go there tho but sadly that place is already demolished.🌚
wow. so low guests. but at disneyland has like a million guests
Can we go to Disneyland we have Disneyland at home
POV. DISNEYLAND AT HOME!!!!
Can't imagine why it closed....
It was because of the decline of attendence at the park when Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea opened in 1983 and 2001
@@jtsmith1817 R.I.P Nara Dreamland, tokyo disneyland killed nara dreamland.

@@dreamlandworld1961 yep. Japan was actually happy that their Disney ripoffs were finally gone FOREVER thanks to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
I think the japanese may have felt REALLY Ashamed of themselves when Tokyo Disneyland debuted in Japan in 1983, only because they ripped off Disney
4:26 i dont even know that thomas is there

Never lose this video again, my guy. It's practically a piece of historical documentation at this point in time.
