If you activated your scales after summoning jackal king then technically you activated a spell card which would had gave him the counters because when using a pendulum monster in the spell and trap zone it is treated as a spell card if I am not mistaken. If you pendulum summoned him that means you get no counters Because like you said no spells to activate after. Different colored seleves easy fix to that extra deck combine that happened

Don’t play the zefra engine without zefraath try out the pendulum graph cards with a higher magician engine I think you could surprise a lot of your opponents
He should not play graphs as thay are bricks, unless he gets zefraath and providence he should probably cut down the zefra engine to just zefraniu and a divine strike
@@truls9578I agree with you on cutting the zefra engine however the pendulum graphs are never bricks if they are searchable by alliance and if he runs a higher magician engine to get full value out of the graphs. Before when double iris was legal the graphs were mandatory because in that slower format they were insane but i think they could definitely see play in today's pendulum magicians depending on the build.. and seeing as his build is very bare bones and budget the graphs could 100% be useful to catch opponents off guard to compensate for the lost "power cards".
@@dbzfan6976 if he had duelist alliance maybe it would be optimal to play graphs right now but by the point where he has that card he can make a viable amgician deck or make a viable zefra deck (the later would be better if he has zefraaths providences and the third oracle) so there is no nead to clog his hand with a card like the pendulum graphs when he could have more cards to pend summon or cards to build advantadge. basicly thare is no reason to play the graphs except maybe playing 1 time graph in the side for the mine matchup but other then that i see not reason to play them

Magical Hats is an example, a judge at a regional I went to said you "should use the same sleeves. But it doesn't matter all that much unless you use cards that make it matter." So technically Nhym is right here. Different sleeves is purely for convenience.
@@pieman1019 And a face up monster. So if you have a Stardust Dragon (dated example I know) and then use Magical hats targeting it your opponent knows exactly which card is Stardust. You need to have the same sleeves in this instance for Magical Hats to work. If you have an extra deck monster in purple sleeves and 2 Waking the Dragons in Blue Sleeves then your opponent will know which to go for. There are also a few other cards where this matters but none have really been meta relevant. Nonetheless Nhym is right for having same coloured sleeves.

cut zefra engine, not as good in consistency w/out providence or good at all w/out zefraath. drawing zefra babies can conflict with ur magician scales which u need
This is actually very entertaining to watch and see what it's like to evolve a deck overtime rather than going to ebay and getting all the pieces there. I think this lets you learn more about a deck than playing a complete deck. You learn your limits, your counters and how to improve. You've earned yourself a sub good sir *tips hat*.

Thats if you really wanna strecht it out yeah, but as it stands in his deck, its not consistent enough, you really need Zefraath and providence to make it work
@@stormfrontDP you literally get the negate every time electrumite resolves pre pen summon, & every time you hard draw zefranui with scales, & every time you hard draw divine strike with a way to get electrumite, the diffference is it's used as like a 1-1 line so it's not hurtng consistency, rather than a bulky bricky engine
If you want Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon (which you probably do) and Odd-Eyes Fusion, you might wanna consider trying to get the Legendary Hero Decks, they come with all the Odd-Eyes cards you mentioned you wanted and 1 or 2 Duelist Alliances, which is a great card in the Endymion Magician deck
If you're looking for bombs... Try Arcanite Magician and or Nirvana High Paladin. Depending on your build you might not go into Nirvana all the time but it's still a great pick. As for Arcanite, he's easy if you're using any sort of lvl 7 synchro plays and he can pop cards by removing a spell counter from anywhere on your field plus to boot he's not OPT so if necessary you have the potential to basically nuke your opponents board clean. Also Tempest Magician is a great lvl 6 synchro that can add spell counters to your field by discarding from the hand and then remove all counters on your field to burn for 500 each so 16 counters and it's game.
See if you can get your hands on some Maximum Crisis packs! Darkwurm + Gate Zero, Zefra stuff, and Set Rotation would help a lot. The Supreme King extra deck monsters (Dark Rebellion + Clear Wing) would be great to pull from Code of the Duelist, and there are a few cards in BLLR that are helpful (Curtain Raiser, Denko Sekka, Omega). The Revolver Structure deck will give some good staples as well in a few weeks! And like others suggested, the Magicians and Pendulumgraphs are super strong, try them out! Timestar is still a good card that combos well with Time Pendulumgraph!

You should get some dark neostorm for pendulum halt. It’s a good draw power replacement for pot of desires. Also it’s a cheap super rare so it shouldn’t take too many packs to get
Everyone else is saying it too, but I'd say focus on more endymion and pendulum magicians until you get more cards to help and cut zefras until you get the zefraath and the providences
This is interesting. 40 dollars a week is still massive amounts to throw into a game though, especially for just one deck. It's the biggest reason why I've left Yugioh and most of TCG behind besides for casual games. A cool concept would be to start with a booster box + a constructed deck, and only use that pool for trading, selling and acquiring new cards and funds. If you can do that, I think you'd be having a healthy and thriving TCG that isn't artificially inflated.
That was most definitely a repairable game state. The judge just looks at the deck and separates the Main Deck from the Extra Deck. The Deck does not need to be shuffled. And then play continues.
Yeah, maybe the judge was just lazy, but at least I know that it would never happen to me. Not only do I keep everything where it should be, my MD and ED sleeves are different colours.

You excited for that new 55-card all guaranteed reprint set in October? Not many YCS events between now and then and one of those every two weeks will get you basically all the meta staples you need into YCS season.
I would recommend ditching the zefra and go back to the spellbook engine. As for what product to buy for the next episode, I'd go for duel power. Easily the best set released at this point. You got a shot at all the hand traps, impermanence, evenly matched, borreload, sphere mode, and heiratic spheres.

That was Pendulum Evolution, not one single one of those cards was in that Set, in fact, I'm pretty sure they hadn't been released yet at that point
