    A couple of days ago I sold a PC with a 4080 and bought a simple laptop for editing and a steam deck for games, I never regret it, I’m not tied to my workplace, I can mount it on the couch and play there, of course the performance suffers, but it’s perfect for my tasks.

      When you can be grateful for having medium/low preset with 30-40 fps (and also miraculously 60 fps) you will never need gaming spec just for gaming. In my case im too lazy to game on my 2070 super despite having far more power

    I saw a lot of steam deck videos, before I buyed my own. The biggest surprise for me, after my own experience: no one talks about the ergonomy of the deck. It fits like a glove! It's such a good feeling, just to hold the deck.

    • @Sayject
      @Sayject  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactly!!!! it’s absolutely amazing. I don’t have huge hands, but out of all the handheld I’ve ever used even though the steam deck might be huge for some it fits fantastic in the hands. Absolutely love it and I can’t wait for valve to make another. I’ll be taking it right off the shelf as soon as it drops.

    • @Woupsme
      @Woupsme 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If you want to make it even more ergonomic you can buy some "cushions" to put onto the back buttons to make them even more comfortable and easier to press.
      That's probably the accessory I've been most happy and impressed by.

    I bought the Steam Deck a few weeks ago as a travel buddy for long flights (I travel to Asia a ton for work) and an addition to my PC, not a replacement. And I couldn't be happier. As someone who has been gaming since the late 70's, early 80's, portable gaming has always been my thing, even when what was offered was Game & Watch style single game electronics. I haven't had a gaming PC in ages, and I never used it when I did, and when the Deck came along, it was the answer to my gaming prayers of 40+ years. I got the OLED in late July for my B-Day and I haven't stopped using it since. I wanted a Deck most for emulation, and I have yet to install a single one, as I've been so busy playing PC games. It truly is a jack of all trades, and master of many device, and I probably won't be buying anything else until the Deck 2 comes along.

      Coming from someone who was in the same spot you were in earlier this year, i've gotta say that the button and joystick layout is 10x more comfortable than it looks.
      I have big hands myself, and I wouldve thought that id've had to cramp my thumbs to press the DPad and Letter Buttons, but with Valve being the geniouses they are, the transition from the joysticks to buttons/dpad is fluid and so comfortable.
      Honeslty I cant even tell you which controller it feels most similar to, because to me, its more comfortable than all of them. (Xbox, Playstation, Switch etc.)
      For me, I was lucky a friend brought his over to show me, but for you, if you're willing to take a stranger's word, id say the leap of faith is 100% worth it.

    I play most games and older games that I missed on my steamdeck oled (example Borderlands 2, its amazing on deck). I do however play the latest demanding games on my pc (wukong, Indiana Jones). Its a best of both worlds situation and I am pretty happy with my purchase. I am highly leaning towards the new MSI claw 8, when it launches here in Malaysia during quater one but from a person who had the LCD for a year and the oled now for another (2 years of steamdeck baby ), its been worth it :)

    For anyone thinking about a more powerful windows system please consider financing the company that intends on pushing technology for games forward and not just when another company comes out with a product that threatens their existence. This is literally what happened when the Steam Deck came out. So many systems have been rushed out to make sure windows gaming doesn’t become obsolete. I’m all in for Steam and Valve. I do Uber, so could be life saver for downtimes...
    The only thing I wonder is if the LCD one battery is going to be too bad.

    I've been playing on my Steam Deck for a few months. Haven't played on my gaming PC or consoles except for the Switch, mainly because it's also portable. Love the OLED screen on both. I'm currently finishing up The Division 2 on the Steam Deck. There's been a few sections where the performance dropped, but for the most part it's been great. Also play a ton of other games on it.
    I was looking at the Legion Go for the games that aren't backwards on the Steam Deck but I've since decided not to. And I LOVE that it has track pads for when needed.
    I've been to lazy to install other installers for my EPIC and GOG libraries and emulation.
    I have a RTX 2070 Super and plan on building a new PC when the 5070/5080 comes out. I also stream and other PC stuff and I still have a lot of games that just play better on a PC.

    Had my Steamdeck oled for about 6 weeks, havnt touched it for 3 weeks because I been busy playing on my PC... Portable gaming is great if you're often not home and travel for work or something. That's not me, I'm always home if I'm not at work. No portable could ever compare or replace my PC. How can a 7" Screen possibly compete with my 55" 4k Oled TV with Full Atmos Surround Sound? It can't, I'm not going to waste my High End Gaming Experience on a tiny screen. Seamdeck is great for old PC games I wont play on my PC or for Emulation. Im not Playing Cyberpunk or God of War Ragnarok on this little toy machine bro... If that's what you wanna do it's your prerogative but I think you're missing out on half the Experience...
